Anywhere I can buy really good, crunchy, sour dill pickles?

I've been having a serious craving but most of the jarred gherkins have been disappointing. They're either not crunchy, or they're weirdly sweet. The closest I've found so far are the ones in the bags from the Polish shops. I would be grateful for any recommendations!

Laianzhi T99+ comes in purple now!

I hope this doesn't come across as an advertisement, I just wanted somewhere to share my excitement that my favourite respirator comes in more than just black now. (I know the KN100 version they make comes in a cute pastel rainbow gradient but I prefer the KN95 version for its lower breathing resistance and moisture retention, plus iirc on testing it far exceeds the KN95 standard anyway)

If you're not familiar with this model, I really like it for a few reasons.

  1. it's a 3-panel/boat-shaped respirator with foam across both the top *and* bottom edges
  2. it comes in multiple sizes
  3. it's available in both head strap and ear loop versions, and the straps are strong and don't get stretched out or break. Incidentally, this is the only ear loop mask I've ever passed a fit test in.
  4. in my adventures with DIY fit testing, out of all the masks I've tried, this has fit the most of my friends. Some have needed size M and some have needed L.
  5. the breathing resistance is low and it doesn't retain a lot of moisture compared to other masks I've worn. I routinely wear this respirator for ~13h. The nose wire keeps its shape and I find it comfortable to wear for the whole work day.
  6. the price isn't too bad, if I buy a box of 40 it comes to just under €50 including shipping to the EU. I usually get 2-3 days' wear out of each one before it starts getting more difficult to breathe through.

Over the last few years I have worn (the black version of) this mask at work, on public transport, on planes, at shows, to nightclubs, etc. and I've yet to get sick from any of those situations, nor have I had any discomfort or skin irritation from the mask. Safe to say it's my go-to. I've ordered a box of the purple and I'm looking forward to matching them to some purple outfits.

Now, if only I can convince Laianzhi to offer it in a nice, deep, forest green. Then my wardrobe would truly be complete 😂

Keep hitting my head at work

So at work we have some storerooms where the ceiling is about 5' high, and it's uneven with joists running across it. In some places it's 4' high. It's not a problem for the senior staff who are unusually short, but I am average height and keep hitting my head in the storerooms. Also it is difficult to carry heavy boxes and stock in and out of the rooms while stooped over or crawling on my knees. They have put some padding on the joists because employees keep hitting their heads on them, which has saved me from serious injuries so far. When we had an inspection the rooms were hidden (the doors are hidden and just look like part of the wall if you don't know they're there, and the stairs up to them were removed).

Is there anything I can do about this? Do I need to start wearing a helmet to work?

(EU) Just want something basic and budget-friendly

Budget €200, would prefer to buy secondhand/refurbished. I have never owned a new or expensive phone so I'm not used to anything fancy. I don't do any gaming. I don't listen to music. I just want it to be able to call, text, use social media, banking, and messaging apps. My last phone was some kind of Poco something or other I bought secondhand. I found the software annoying. There were a lot of ads and the storage filled up rapidly and it didn't matter how much I cleared, it stayed full permanently.

Things I prioritise:

- Decent battery life.

- Durability/longevity. I tend to drop things and I would like to avoid having to buy another phone for as long as possible.

Okayish camera would be nice I guess but it's not necessary.
Thanks

Fit testing on a very tight budget: DIY Denatonium Benzoate solution

Hello folks,

For previous DIY fit tests I've been buying premade Bitrex solution intended for fit testing. But I've been thinking it would be a lot cheaper and more shelf-stable to just buy some powdered denatonium benzoate (e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224651766080) and make it up myself. Does anyone have experience buying from this seller, or have a seller they like to use?

Second question: I do not have a scale capable of measuring in mg. My scale is sensitive to 0.1g. These instructions from the CDC (https://archive.cdc.gov/www\_cdc\_gov/niosh/npptl/QualitativeFitTesting.html) say to use 337.5mg DB to 200ml NaCl solution. It wouldn't be as precise but could I just measure 1g of DB and use 600ml saline?

Thanks!
