Update on "I've never felt more helpless"

My last post was way too long for me to do an update.

I ended up emailing the sped teacher, principal, teacher who runs the Best Buddies. I told them what had happened, everything I offered as a solution, I took my part of the blame by not contacting the principal about my solutions or that I should have walked her to the door at the very least. In the email about I stated how I want us to fix the issues so the next school dance, this doesn't happen again.

The principal called me and apologized. He said her teacher wasn't fully correct in her answers. He said that they could have seen if any aides were available to go. They would have paid them.

I explained that I had offered to go as a chaperone and even stay the entire time after my kid wanted to leave, I was told about the Buddies thing in response. The teacher technically didn't say I could or could not chaperone. I explained that I made an assumption and didn't ask about the typo. Looking back i should have asked. I didn't though, because the email she responded to was only about the dance. Not any homecoming week activities. He said that parents are always welcome at the dance.

He apologized, we are going to tell him next dance that we want an aide to be there. If that doesn't work, we are more than willing to chaperone. Hes going to send out an email to just cover what we talked about. I told her father that basically we were doing everything right and in the order it should have gone, just talking to the wrong people.

It don't make up for it, but at least we can prevent it from happening again or to a different student. I could tell he felt very bad that, that was my daughter's first high school dance experience.

Jade's surgery was heartbreaking to watch.

I'm a first time watcher. I'm now at the point where she has the follow up and Sean was freaking out because they were being filmed.

My mom wasn't the greatest. No parent is perfect. When she was sobbing and saying, "I don't understand, why would she do this to me?" My heart was broke. I know it was during covid and that you need to have someone stay during the surgery, but if anything were to happen they would have transported her in an ambulance. Her dad could have left and got the pills while her mother stayed with her.

As a mother, to a kid who has had several surgeries, I could never be okay with taking forever to be back. Last surgery I took my kid straight home, i had gotten all the pillows and blankets ready before we even left to go to the surgery center. So when she was done i just had to sit her down on the couch and get her comfortable and my sister made sure she had everything right next to her. Snacks, drinks, the remote, ice packs to swap on and off ever 20 minutes. We had her grandma go pick up the medicine but I made sure she was not going to be long. I called the pharmacy on the way to my house to make sure they had it ready by the time her grandma got there.

I hated when my kid cried because she was in pain and I felt completely helpless. I can't imagine taking forever for her to get her meds. I wish they would have given Jade ibuprofen or Tylenol even just until they got the pills. Just to help ease the pain.

I felt so bad because people already vulnerable coming out of the anesthesia. They are hurting and it honestly just sounded so painful. Then to be let down by someone that you should be able to rely on. I'm really hoping that she goes no contact with her mom after this. Then when they got back to their house, it sounded like they didn't help watch kloie like they said they would and Sean was doing everything.

Please help me settle an argument. Am I considered a gamer?

My husband is very much into gaming on his PC. I have always been a terrible video game player. However, I thought it would be nice to play some games with him when we started dating.

I get motion sickness horribly, so every time I play a game with him I have to take some otc motion sickness pills. So the kind of game matters to me on what I like to play. Anything 1st person, I feel so sick to my stomach. I get bored very easily. Since I'm a terrible player, I die every 10 minutes if that when I play a game and that's not fun for me.

Here are the games I actually like to play with him... (when i take my medicine.)

Enshrouded

Baulders gate 3

Conan unconquered

Palworld

And finally the one game i actually like is the sims 4. I obviously will play that by myself.

We have tried different games that are like the ones above, I don't like them. I personally feel like it's the same game just different format. (If that makes sense. Like stellaris, age of darkness, valheim) I don't want to learn how to play a different game over and over when there's a version I already like. I try to tell him that I'm just not a gamer.

Idc if he plays a game with his friends and I'm not a part of it or if he plays a different game while I play sims 4. I suggest we sit on discord and talk while we do different games but he insists I play games with him. I explain again that I'm just not into gaming.

He says that since i have over 1,000 hours in sims 4, that I am a gamer. He don't understand that that's basically one of the only games I don't get sick with and I can watch TV while I play. Rimworld is just boring to me. I also like Sims because I don't die over and over and get nothing accomplished because i keep dying. Unless I want my character to die, I rarely die.

So, would you consider me a gamer?
