Referred

I finished my application and was referred to 2 different jobs 🙌🏻. However, it’s been a week and I haven’t been contacted any further. Should I count myself out on both jobs? What is the typical wait time if you are referred before you are contacted for an interview. I was so excited, but now I’m feeling a little deflated. If it helps for context it’s for an SLP opening, so I also have no idea how much competition I am going against. Thanks for considering sharing your experience!

Mixed Teacher Specialist (Special education generalist/SLP)

Hi everyone, I’m a little confused on a job posting I saw and am hoping to interview for. Does it mean that I would be fulfilling 2 roles and splitting between an SLP and special education generalist? Or does it mean that the role can be fulfilled and is open to either a special education teacher or an SLP? I’m an SLP, and therefore meet the requirements for 0472, but I’m not a SPED teacher and don’t meet the requirements for 0432. Thanks!

DODeA

Hi, just checking to see if anyone here has ever worked for the DODeA and if you would be willing to share your experience with it. I applied to a job in Germany and am waiting to see if I get selected for the interview. Any tips or advice would be so appreciated!

Hi everyone, I’m a speech therapist who is in the very early stages of getting a double jaw surgery as well as genioplasty and potentially replacing my TMJ disc 😬. Can anyone give me an idea of about how much time off work I might need post surgery? This is obviously a scary surgery to begin with, particularly given that I use my face and mouth for my livelihood. Any personal experiences with recovery would be appreciated!
