Two lines this morning :-)

I just wanted to share an update to my previous post from the start of my two week wait for #2.

I am 40 and recently passed my half birthday. I had a positive pregnancy test result this morning, two clear lines with the help of our 16 month old and the good luck & vibes of being at the family cottage--the same place I found out I was pregnant with him :-)

I had an inkling, as I had some very light pink implantation spotting a couple of days ago!

I know a lot can happen, and I can't check betas until Tuesday, but I want to believe this is sticky: I had a nice mature follicle, supported by 400mg/day of progesterone, and have been taking egg quality supplements for many months (coQ10, NFH Oocyte SAP, vitamin D, high DHA fish oil, Myo inositol). Maybe it's in my head, but I may be starting to feel some nausea!

No matter what happens, today I am pregnant.

Before we came here, we learned there was a family of skunks next door with a few babies, and now at the cottage, a family of minks with two babies under the canoe, and turtles coming up on shore to lay eggs! Feels like beautiful omens ☺️

I have not told my husband yet, but just had to share with someone who "gets it!" 💕🍀

Trying for #2 at 40 with Ovidrel + breastfeeding

Hi everyone, I am new here, healthy at 40, healthy spouse, taking egg quality supplements, and a robust AMH of...36! (I have some PCOS).

I had our first baby when I just turned 39: got pregnant right away after a MC, smooth pregnancy and birth. He is still nursing at 15 months, and this month is our third cycle trying for #2.

We are working with a fertility clinic, doing our second natural timed intercourse cycle, this time with an Ovidrel trigger shot, and the same progesterone support as last two cycles. I have a very short luteal phase--1-2 days--and got my period last cycle before I had a chance to take progesterone!

I do not wish to interrupt our baby's breastfeeding, so we are trying this route for now, as I cannot take many fertility meds.

Has anyone else had a similar journey? I would love to hear from you!

TWW: 4th cycle trying for #2

I am 40 and this is our 4th natural cycle trying for #2 with our clinic, this time with an Ovidrel trigger shot and more progesterone sooner (last cycle I got a period just days after ovulation!)

Started my 2x/day progesterone today, and this begins the two week wait.

I am trying to stay "soft and curious", and trying to go with the flow with the prog side effects, even though they make me feel yuck.

I can't try any heavier fertility meds because I am still breastfeeding our 16 month old (who was conceived naturally after a MC) and don't want to wean prematurely.

Just wanted to share the start of this waiting period 🍀🍀🍀
