The peak irony of someone from 1st world countrt surrounded by peak of human technological advancements that is probably brought upon by exploitation of rest of the world talking shit about how ancient societies were more advanced because ''hmmm tHeY uSeD BiO dEGraDaBle MaTeriALs''.
Pure fucking bullshit. Aside from obvious archeological and historical evidences we know for sure ancient societies WERE NOT advanced.
A lot of ''wonders'' of the ancient world are fucking modern or modern(ish). The great wall of China? Ming Dynasty's repair. The cathedrals that are everywhere in Europe? Largely late medieval or enlightment.
And these projects took entire lifetimes to finish, draining insane amount of resources that otherwise could have benefitted the society of their time or not.

Big corporations obviously would not fucking benefit if we sourced our food, materials and much of our commodities locally. And that does not fucking REQUIRE conspiracy theory bullshit to happen do it by yourself i do not care.
The broader point is how orientalistic this topic is. Ancient civilizations then points to West Asia (i ain't calling that region middle east, a colonial term by a random Yankee), Africa or god forbid sometimes steppe nomads. Turns out these people lived in tune with their nature blah blah how they respected it and treaded carefully.
My country faces extreme desertification today. Almost 70 is under heavy soil erosion and became desert. A simple thing called fucking overgrazing. I live in so called nomadic country and i assure you none of us were some eco activists worshipping nature.
We slaughtered, hunted, exterminated many animals and overpopulated our regions with goats and sheeps that led to overgrazing constantly for centuries.
Oh btw mother nature is respected by every culture across earth as far as i remember. Even in Europe.
Shit this eco conspiracy theorists talks smug about how governments hide the ancient history yet none of them actually talk about ongoing exploitation. Where we dump our plastic garbage? Myanmar and ivory coast. What mining companies exploit the earth carelessly? Glencore, Rio Tinto to name a few. Wars that were fought over resources and exploited? Congo and etc. To name a few.
TLDR : I just despise these kinds of videos because it makes my blood boil and make me wanna commit violent murder because usually these mfs repeat same old bullshits.
