My arranged marriage search was running on WhatsApp forwards, so I built a tool for it. How do you grow a product people are supposed to stop using?

I am a marketer from Jharkhand, not an engineer. Some time ago, I was in the middle of my own arranged marriage search.

Here is how it works in most families. Biodatas come in from everywhere: a PDF from Mummy, a screenshot from an aunty, a kundli photo from the family pandit, a profile from a portal. Everyone is helping, and everything is sent with love. But there is no single place where it all lives. It sits across WhatsApp groups, the photo gallery, and a notebook.

So when the Sunday family call comes, and someone asks, "What happened with the Pune one?", the answer is spread across three chats.

I first made a small tracking system just for myself. It worked well enough that I decided to build it properly. I had no coding background, so I built it alone with AI coding tools. It went live in July as RokaMaybe.

What it does:

  1. Reads a biodata (PDF, Word file, or a WhatsApp photo) and fills in the profile in about 30 seconds

  2. Runs the 36-point kundli milan as a reference. The pandit still has the final word.

  3. Moves each prospect through five stages: New, Match, Call Done, Meeting Fixed, Decision

  4. Keeps a note for every call, with green flags and red flags

  5. Puts up to three prospects side by side when it is time to decide

It does not show you profiles or introduce you to anyone. You bring the people your family is already speaking to, and it keeps everything in one place. It is free right now.

Now the part I need help with.

This is a product people are supposed to leave. The best outcome for a user is a roka, and after that they do not need me anymore. How would you build growth, and later a business, on a product like that? Do you rely on referrals at the happy ending, on families with younger siblings, or on something I am not seeing?

And a simpler question for everyone: if you have been through this process, how did your family keep track of it all?

I am not dropping a link here. Happy to share it if anyone asks.
