Steak frites accompaniments

A beautifully crusted rare steak, a terrific sauce like poivre or Bernaise, crisply double fried potatoes, and maybe some mayonnaise for the frites are the obvious essentials, but what else do you like with yours? As good as a Cab might be, I pick a a martini (4:1 Tanq 10 and Dolin dry). Vegetables? Salad choices? Room for dessert?

Maltby ts1 vs Titleist T250

Anybody have any comparative or other experience and thoughts on these two? I am an older guy, 77, returning to golf after a long layoff. I still play with the blades I played ages ago. I am definitely not single digit hcp now and am only hitting my 7 about 145. So I would benefit from newer technology in the head and slightly more flexible shafts. The Titleist T250 seems to tic all of my boxes, but, my gracious, they are pricey. I am intrigued by the Maltbys.

Tonearm ideas for a Thorens 150

I have a Thorens TD150 that Vinyl Nirvana modified (plinth, improved damping, tonearm...) to make it a VB150. The cueing lever on the Rega Moth arm had a catastrophe that resulted in snapping the cueing lever at its base. The design of the Moth houses the lifting mechanism within an extended base, and I have concluded that the lever cannot be repaired or replaced and the housing extends far enough forward that an after market lever cannot be added in a correct placement. Although I am reasonably adept at cueing by hand, not everyone else in the house is. So I am thinking of a new tonearm. I enjoy the Rega arm with a 2m bronze but am open to change. I liked the SME 3009 type ii I had on a TD125, but I am soliciting other ideas. I am also intrigued by old Grace arms, but there are a good number of Grace models. If you were looking for a replacement arm, probably around or under a grand, what might you consider?
