Stupid head canon

I like to believe that there is more to Fika than what meets the eye. I think it is obvious that she isnt an average cat even in a wacky world like Overwatch. There has to be something to her, genetically modified or something along those lines would make sense. That begs the question, who would do this to a cat and just seemingly let it go?

My theory is that Fika is a secret agent from Talon to gather information on Overwatch. I think Brig finding her and building her a Jetpack was just happen chance and Fika just decided to roll with it. So far I think this speculation isnt totally unwarranted, but I think it might go deeper.

This is the part where I am not going off of any evidence to suggest any of Fikas motives, it is just me speculating what would be an awesome story in the Overwatch universe. I think Fika and Mauga are working together to usurp Vendetta in a double cross. It just feels too perfect for it not to be true. One is a big guy the other is a big cat, both have dual gatling gun type of weapons, both a conniving in a charming playful way. Surely not a coincidence at all... They just work with each other being partners in crime.

Itd also be cool if Junkrat and Roadhog were a part of it too. The 4 of them would just make for an awesome team. This will also give them more impact on the story instead of being these side character to the lore. This will also further develop Mauga, showing that he is willing to look at all sides of a situation and is willing to take an unorthodox approach to reaching his goals. Something that I feel is very on brand for him.

Respectfully, I hate Jetpack Cats ultimate.

I cant think of a single ultimate worse than Jetpack Cats. Nothing close to it. I think other parts of her kit, especially her movement, makes up for it though. It is an ultimate that puts yourself at great risk at a chance to get a solo kill out of it. And this is assuming you have an environmental danger or a coordinated team nearby. You can also cancel someone elses ultimate, but so can an Orisa spear or Roadhog Hook or Cassidy grenade, etc... The difference is that those are abilities and not ultimates. You also dont have to yeet your body into an enemy when using those and be attach to said enemy while they can shoot at you when youre defenseless. And finally, you actually got to aim your shots. Aiming isnt that much of an issue, but considering how slow you move in the air, you have to be right on top of someone if you want to guarantee to land your ultimate. If you ult at a distance, it is essentially RNG since the enemy can move direction while youre in the air. There is nothing you can do to correct course while flying towards the ground. So its a matter of multiple things. You put yourself into danger, its situational based on where youre at on a map or what ultimates your enemy teams have, who you target, and if you can land your shot.

Honestly if they revert the 10% acceleration nerf and got rid of the ultimate all together, Jetpack Cat would be in a better place. You can simply turn her ultimate into 1 use of the old territorial perk and she would be better... The odd tank kill is a great feeling, but for how risky it is youd expect more out of it.

Wienie 500 made me get racing.

So I want to start this off by saying that Im not a racecar fan at all. I think theyre nifty but I never understood the appeal of racing or any sport really. It was just a bunch of random people driving cars around a lap with an occasional "nifty" moment. I think with the Wienie 500 it finally clicked why people like racing!

I just found it playing on the TV and decided to watch it because of how silly it is. I didnt expect myself to get invested as much as I did. I think the main reasons why I got into it was that there were these "characters" that I can root behind. When in normal racing, I dont know who John Smith is in the #44 car, but I know what Corndog is all about!

Another thing is that the "nifty" moments in the race happen so succinctly, I dont know all the nuances when it comes to racing to ooh and ahh at but there were 2-3 seuperate moments during the race where I couldnt believe what happened.

I feel like these things arent special to the Wienie 500, but it is far far more accessible. If I learn about the drivers and their teams, I can see how people can root behind a team like I can with Corndog. If I learn the nuances of the sport, there would be a lot more oos and ahs. Im not sure if I will get into racing, but I finally do get how people enhoy the sport. I am happy to have had this eye opening experience!
