Just started sewing a couple months ago. Really proud of this piece.

Pattern is based on the cameron shirt from Helen's closet (https://helensclosetpatterns.com/products/cameron-button-up)

I made some sizing changes, replaced the collar with a lined hood that I based on my OrNot sun hoody, added hand pockets in the side seams and added lower front panel pockets to cover up the attachment of the hand pockets.

The shell is a mid-weight linen from Gordon Fabrics that I found in a fabric shop in Michigan during a recent summer vacation trip. The hood/cuff linings & top pocket are a deadstock linen/cotton blend from my local quilting store. Buttons are wood, from the same store.

I messed up a few small things, but am overall really super happy with this piece. Hope you like it! Suggestions for future improvements on the pattern welcome.

I made a map of California and its cryptids

Hey yall, I thought you guys might like this. I made a map of California and its cryptids/myths and stuff like that. I limit my Cryptids of America Maps to only 12 creatures per map. I try to find them from all over the state and not the half dozen or so around San Francisco or Los Angeles. So, sorry if your favorite cryptid didnt make the cut. There are a few other cryptids that I didnt add to the map, though that was mostly because of where they were located or a different creature taking priority. And NO, your local crackhead, meth monster, or fent flopper DOES. NOT. COUNT. If yall have any questions, feel free to ask!
