The disclaimer is for anyone who wants to use my outline as a template for their own thing. I didn't want to share this for reasons, but I'm going to anyway. I recently made an amazing replica of Chris Martin's MOON MUSiC tour pants. Being as big of a Coldplay fan that I am, I just had to make another pair and improve on the designs. I won't be making any for anyone right now, but if I end up starting a business that involves embroidery or after I graduate college, I just might do it. Just thought I would share the night and day difference between the first one I did and the one I just put together today. I'm really happy about how these ones turned out. Every object is embroidered. The only content that is not original was an image I found online of Chris Martin's Moon Music handwriting and a picture that I took of the mountain patch that is on my jacket and a slightly modified color palette to make it match the one that's on his pants. Other than that, I used Inkscape and made a perfect spherical image out of the picture of the Moon that I took and then used that after tracing the bitmap of the image to make the moon cycle on the bottom and then I used one out of the four outlines, made it the color black, put it on a white background, and used to paint brush tool to create the squiggly lines that make up the ripples of water. Learning how to use Inkscape and the Ink/stitch extension is a little bit of work, but when you get it down, it makes great designs. Even though these joggers don't have belt loops, I personally like the comfortable feel and style of the jogger pants over denim pants.

I made a much better replica of the MOON MUSiC pants this time around.

The disclaimer is for anyone who wants to use my outline as a template for their own thing. I didn't want to share this for reasons, but I'm going to anyway. Be careful what you post here.

I'm not necessarily happy about it, but I'm not frustrated either. Let me explain.

The reason I'm frustrated: Maybe I'm not frustrated, but I am shocked. I am the original creator of this particular replica and now an Etsy seller is using it as a template. They are making money off the way that I formatted this particular replica of Chris Martin's MOON MUSiC pants even if it is hand painted. I definitely should have gone the extra step to let people know that they should ask permission if they wanted to use it for their own purpose and I'm frustrated that I didn't think about it then and I'm now paying for it.

The reason I'm happy about it: despite everything, it's cool to see that there is someone else out there in the world that got inspired enough to use my outline and particular design as a template. The thought of that never crossed my mind because I thought that I was just having fun, but I guess it's that good. It must be if the person is requesting 88 a pair to remake them himself. It really goes to show that I have the potential especially since I never received the replica that OM Embroids in the UK promotes on Instagram and I got inspired to make my own instead while waiting 45 days to get my money back at the time.

Where I'm going to go from here: I'm currently on Inkscape learning some more things about the program so that I can recreate a better replica of the same pants. The next time I go to post it on here or anywhere, I'm going to leave a disclaimer suggesting that people ask me before using my design as a template as long as they are willing to give a small percentage of every one they make to use my idea as a template. The only reason I haven't messaged the guy or talked to him about it yet is because I haven't seen a picture of what the final product looks like so I don't know if it's going to almost exactly mimic the way that my pants look, or if he's just posting an image on Etsy so that people can get an idea of what it might look like. Now that I have an embroidery machine of my own and I'm working on such a template, I might just start making these and putting them out into the world myself so that people can have an embroidered version.

Disclaimer: the wording might be weird and slightly off because of the rules in this community regarding anything that might give a hint at anything related to t!cket sales. I hope it all makes sense though.

Help! I just got an embroidery machine and I need some pointers.

I have a PooLin EOC03 Embroidery-only machine and I was wondering if anyone knows how to properly service this thing. I can't find a single video on YouTube. I have done everything from changing the needle to oiling all of the essential points and putting in a bobbin slip cover. It works better now, but it still makes a clanking kind of noise and I have to keep the tension between 7 and 8 1/2 on my top thread or else it bird nests even after everything is threaded properly. Any help is appreciated if someone knows how to properly fix this issue.

Recently got an embroidery machine and I had to make this.

I was working on creating a simplistic version of the Lateralus artwork in Clip Studio paint because I wanted to make it so that if I ever got the artwork embroidered on the back of a jacket or a hoodie, it wouldn't take so many stitches to get all the little intricate details. I decided that I also wanted some individual little pieces from the artwork itself that stood out and what I did was isolate the selection with the eye that's part of the eye saw, put it into inkscape, then I traced the bitmap in inkscape to get all the colors that I needed, added a border, and then made a patch out of it with the ink/stitch extension. I'm happy with how it turned out.

I recently got an embroidery machine and I have been going to town.

Courtesy of ditonus.com/coldcode, I was able to generate baudot code that says "Love Is The Only Answer." The Life In Technicolor ii patch is about a total of 65,000 stitches and about 4x4 size. I still have some stitches to cut out of it, but I'm happy with how it turned out even if some things are slightly off. I'm looking forward to making more patches in the future.

Scored these at McKay's yesterday.

I was happy that they had The Eminem Show there. The Eminem portion of my collection is slowly growing. I spent a good amount on that one. I got lucky and scored The Cure's Wish and the Singles Soundtrack for $0.25. The Maynard Ferguson CD was $0.95, but being a trumpet player, I need a great example of what the trumpet sounds like.

My CD collection after roughly 2 1/2 - 3 years

I know that this community gets bombarded with collections, but after thinking about it for a few days, I wanted to share my collection of 118 Discs. I'm proud of where it's gone so far and I'm looking forward to collecting more. CD's that don't have cases came from an AdamFest haul last year on Slide 2, and hundreds of discs that were handpicked from a box that I got for free from my local record store on Slides 5-10. Finally, my collection that mainly consists of Coldplay (I know) is featured on the last slide. Thoughts? What are you taking out of this collection?

Note: There are many CDs in the binder, but I'm only showcasing things I've listened to so far. Many CDs in the binder play through fine, but are scratched since they came with no cases. There are also a few duplicates.

Created this for the 25th Anniversary of Lateralus

I decided to make a video for the 25th Anniversary of the album. Truly an amazing masterpiece. One cohesive work from start to finish.

25 years of Lateralus Today.

25 years ago, Tool released what would be considered their Magnus opus and very definitive prog metal project. One of the most spiritually eye opening records I own. They released Lateralus, spawning the singles "Schism" and "Parabola." They decided to give the listener the most amount of music possible, creating a record that would take up 79 out of 80 minutes of space on a Compact Disc (around 76 if you take away the gap of silence between Triad and Faaip De Oiad). The sonic soundscape, rigid bass, definitive drums, intense vocals, and wallowing guitars makes this a very unique album that continues to stand the test of time. What are your favorite tracks off this album? What about favorite memories? I would love to hear your stories and comments since this album is fairly new to me (discovered it back in January of this year).

I have found this piece on IMSLP and it looks like something I want to do for my Senior Recital in a couple of years. The only issue is that a recording of it does not exist anywhere. Matilda Lloyd did a concert last year with it in her program, but I haven't found recordings of her playing it anywhere. If someone has a recording of it, please send it to me. I would love to know what this piece sounds like.
