I HATE "Ethical" NECROMANCERS
I hate the idea that so many people when talking about morally good/ethical necromancy. Not because I dislike the idea in of itself, and don't think it can be done. But because it almost ALWAYS comes down to the same fucking argument!
"Erm, well actually. If we use necromancy we can use them for hard labor"
Oh okay, way to go! Did you ever think about the working peasant who you've now cost him his job?! What will they do now that the undead have replaced them? They're untrained, they cannot afford the luxury you can in your high and mighter wizard towers turning your nose up at a problem you don't even fucking suffer from!
You wanna work in a factory? "Oh sorrryyyy we actually replaced all of our human workers for teams of four armed skeletons who work tirelessly for no pay whatsoever." You wanna work on the farm? "Oh sorry, I dug up my family and stitched them together with the dead horses to make centaurs plough my fields." You wanna work ANYWHERE A HUMAN CAN WORK?! "SORRY! WE ONLY ACCEPT UNDEAD!"
Oh but with this we can focus on ourselves and the arts and have the undead do all the menial tasks. I hear you fucking say that in the back! But guess what! BZZZZZZZT WRONG ANSWER! BZZZT BZZZZZT
The Necbros genuinely believe 'art' made by a soulless, unthinking, unfeeling mockery of life brought from the grave is in anyway the same as a master, fuck, even a hobbyist's skill and passion! Too bad buddy you wanna be a great painter?! The patron of the arts is too busy having his zombie assistant paint the same fucking thing over and over to goon to later!
oh and zombie assistants right? You know the top bodies? Guess what?! Undead psychosis is becoming an epidemic cause stupid kids keep locking themselves in their room! Talking to their undead fucking assistant like they're alive! And the undead whispers their need for revenge cause they died in some tragic manner and now the kid's gone up and shot up the local bard school! Or just themselves!
Oh and those fucking body centers! You know just how much magic they fucking drain from the area? In one state there's a body center that uses MORE magic than the whole state can even produce! Guess what that means! YEP. No healing magics can be made! At all! People literally can't get healed cause there's so little magic left that people are stuck rationing cantrips! CANTRIPS!
THAT'S THE WORST OF IT! People are literally better off getting themselves killed so their families can hire them out to these fucking body centers for FRACTIONS of what they used to be paid in life. People can't afford to live and their only use now is after they're DEAD! And the necbros don't fucking care!
EDIT: And now they are getting the courts involved to FORCE families to let them break open their thousand year family crypts so they can steal OUR family members who didn't agree to be used for their fucking industry! You can face prison time for not giving up your loved ones!
