Is it just me, or is the UI of modern "industry standard" DJ apps too cluttered?

While DJing I generally only look at the waveforms and playback position relative to the overall track overview, the rest of the screen I mostly ignore 99% of the time.

For example, why can't the library be dynamically hidden when I'm not browsing through my collection instead of it always being visible and taking up half of the screen?

I feel like Serato and djay Pro are the least cluttered, but it would still be nice to see something with a much more customizable, minimal and reactive UI.

EDIT: The Traktor screenshot might not be the best representation, but it's from Native Instruments own website and how they chose to promote / market it.

My VR DJ app, which accurately simulates a vinyl turntable setup, is now available for FREE on the Quest!

Hi everyone,

Decided to make the Lite version of my VR DJ app Vinyl Reality free again!

You can sideload it from SideQuest: https://sidequestvr.com/app/5567/

My goal was to make the most realistic and authentic simulation of DJing with vinyl in VR. You can load and mix your own tracks with two fully-functional turntables and a DJ mixer, and record them to audio using the built-in recorder.

This Lite version is designed specifically for standalone VR headsets and also supports passthrough. I've only tested it on the Quest, but it might also work on other standalone devices like the Pico.

A version for PC VR which has a lot more features is still available on Steam.

I'm no longer actively developing this Lite version of the app, but I'm still more than happy to answer any questions here in the comments!
