Is this cohesive?

Helping my active octogenarian mom remodel her bathroom. The ai renders make it look a lot bigger than it is! Shower is about 53"x32" and rest of bathroom is 74"x32". It's cramped! Also, no natural lighting.

Her decorating style is pretty conservative and I'm trying to keep that in mind while I try to give it a "spa" feel. She likes the concept I've created. We are on a small-medium budget.

The vanity is a little bit lighter than the renderings. I tried to make it lighter in the second pic but I think it's a little lighter than that.

In the shower, we're going with a glass panel with an open area for walk-in. She didn't want curbless, so we'll do a low-profile curb.

AI added the recessed lighting, and she'll only use the light on the medicine cabinet when she's doing make up. Also the placement of some of the shower fixtures looks wonky in these images; we'll align them better in real life. My questions:

  • Does it look cohesive? If not, what are your suggestions?
  • Do we need some kind of lighting in the shower?
  • Which is better, the lighter shower floor tile, or the darker? We prefer the lighter, but it's penny tile! Not looking forward to cleaning all that grout.

I'll put my materials in the comment section to keep this post shorter! Thanks in advance!

Drywall primer confusion!

I have researched this (including on this sub) and feel like I've read conflicting ideas, but that's probably on me for not understanding the different circumstances in each situation. I will be patching a couple of approximately 5x5" holes in my ceiling with Sheetrock, furring strips, and joint compound. The joint compound will be covering the patched area.

What type of drywall primer do I use? I have read PVA is used with new Sheetrock, but I've also read to use high build, or even "any" primer. I don't need to buy premium stuff for small patches on my ceiling, but I want to buy the right kind at least! Would KILZ White Interior PVA Drywall Primer work? Thank you in advance!
