How are people making their purchases? Mobile or desktop?

I can’t get any deals to be recognized when I make a purchase on mobile. I open my CapitalOne app, go to the befits for my venture x card, browse deals, activate on the app and it either takes me to the related shopping app (Best Buy, Disney, etc) or website and I make my purchase.

Usually I am logged in to the apps already and sometimes I just checkout as guest on a website.

But I have yet to get any bonuses in the last three months from any of the deals I’ve used. Wth am I doing wrong? I had it working before and now I get nothing, just the 2x bonus.

No emails about points “heading my way” or anything on my statements.

Bought a long haul flight to NZ using points and doesn’t seem like I can upgrade?

I was able to select a different seat in economy cabin but is it possible to put in a bid for an upgrade to premium if I got the economy ticket with points?

I’m guessing it’s so expensive because I booked with points?

Booked an economy seat to NZ wanting to upgrade to Skycouch but it’s $2,803 CAD 😭 at least the other seat upgrades are normal. Can’t seem to put a bid on the air nz app for an upgrade either
