Confused about Anthony Davis

how come teams are interested in trading for him now? why didn’t they just trade for him at the deadline? and also why would the wizards trade some assets for him just to trade him away in the summer?

Will dead zone pitch shapes eventually be good?

I do not know if this question counts as sabermetrics or not so im sorry if it isn’t.

My question is, will pitch shapes that are currently dead zone eventually be good?

A dead zone pitch shape from what I’ve heard is what you do not want as a pitcher. A dead zone pitch shape is a pitch that’s induced movement and stuff is completely average Joe and not unique in any way. Having a non dead zone pitch shape can make a pitch play better (for example a fastball with tons of vert) and the inverse is true.

obviously teams do not want their pitchers to have dead zoney pitches, as those are what hitters are most used to and what hitters mash. teams mess around with grips and stuff to get pitches out of the dead zone. The thing is, what if teams find good grips and other cues to get so many pitchers out of the dead zone that a new dead zone forms? would what is currently a dead zone pitch shape in real life, become super successful in this hypothetical scenario where the dead zone changes?

basically my question is that do dead zone pitches not succeed because of some sort of characteristic that gives a hitter more time or a better angle or something or does the current dead zone not work because hitters are just more used to it?

Nunez is valuable (kind of)

Despite Nunez’s awful bat he’s still a positive run value player according to savant. I think savant run value takes into account clutch hits and weights them more than a normal hit. generally clutch hits regress to the mean of whatever your rate of getting hits normally is, and he’s done really well at clutch hits but not getting on base in general so that should regress to the mean. Still probably a positive run value player without clutch

holy crap bro “leftists“ are larpers! they claim they are anti oppression and then exploit, murder and rape animals. I’m so done with these non vegan leftists. I’ve argued with some online and in person and the second animal rights is mentioned they go from “left wing” to using the most Nazi arguments. do they realize that them claiming eating animals is different than other oppresions because animals are lesser than humans is the same logic people used to justify all other kinds of atrocities against humans where they claimed the victim was “lesser”.

I do believe that a lot of these non vegan leftists would be the evil fascicts they hate if given the oppurtunity to become one. the (potentially onpurpose?) lack of critical thinking when you argue with people about animal exploitation and veganism is genuinely insane. How do people not feel guilty for torturing, raping and killing animals. they only go with what the social norm is, why can’t people understand that the social norm of murdering and raping animals is genuinely evil and fucked up And that just because it’s the norm doesn’t mean it’s okay.

idk man im beginning to hate the world because of this and other stuff too. I hate how animals are just viewed as objects, like they are machines. I fucking hate it.

hello guys, I am a HS sophomore and I am not starting sadly. I have an issue where I struggle to pull the ball, I have been practicing pulling the ball off the Tee lately. I made some changes and now hopefully I will be able to hit to all fields now but im not 100% certain the changes will work. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on my swing, specifically advice for an HLP swing. sorry about the sirens in the background I live in a city and that’s just how it is a lot of the time.
