What are some things you wish you knew before getting into Thermomix?

I just got a TM7, and I'm completely new to Thermomix. I'm super excited to get started, but would love to hear some tips from the veteran Thermomix users on this sub!

I'm a 37-year-old woman and I got hit with the Wonhee bug 😩

At first, I just liked listening to Illit's bops on my boring drives.

And then, Youtube started serving me Wonhee clips, and I was like... this girl is hella funny, lol.

Before you know it, I'm sat watching Young-ji and Wonhee, laughing my ass off at their interactions because it genuinely feels so refreshing and I don't know how to express this feeling!

I'm so certain I'm not the only millennial who's obsessed over little miss guinea pig. I need someone to tell me they relate cus why the heck am I so entertained by a teenager 😭 Like I caught myself thinking the other day, omg I would be such a proud mother if I had a daughter like Wonhee 😭😭😭

Is This Kingdom Shall Not Kill Me inspired by anime???

I'm only 5% in but I saw the mention of Truck-kun and freaking lost it! I haven't seen much discourse online of this heavy, heavy reference to anime, but based on the little I've read so far, this seems to borrow pretty heavily from the isekai genre, specifically Re:Zero with the "main protagonist can't die" mechanic.

Does anyone else know what I'm referencing??? I've never had my anime and western fantasy worlds collide before and this feels so bizarre right now, lol.

Would you rather have Autism or ADHD?

Not a serious post!

I was recently diagnosed and have gained so much clarity over which parts of me are the Autism side and which parts are the ADHD side.

It led me to the realization that I see a lot of my autistic traits as "super powers" and my ADHD traits as "disabilities", and I find myself wishing I was just autistic 😅

That made me curious — if you had a choice, would you rather choose Autism or ADHD, or do you think AuDHD is actually a good combination?

(Disclaimer: This isn't meant to be a serious post, and I have a nagging feeling that perhaps this line of thought may be offensive or hurtful to some — in which case I apologize in advance for my lack of consideration or forethought!)

Romantasy series written with fantasy style prose?

ACOTAR and Fourth Wing got me into romantasy, but the prose in these romantasy books is KILLING me. Why are some of these fantasy characters talking like a Gen Z girlie from 2026?! 😭

Are there any romantasy series that are written in a slightly more elevated register? I'm not asking for Tolkien, but it's so jarring to read "Shit!" and "Are you kidding me?!" in a world that's supposed to be ancient and mythical. I just end up seeing these characters as larpers 😭

Blue Lips is a really underrated song.

I find it especially meaningful as the last track on the EP.

The entire album is very hype, and the first five tracks are all really true to the current state of CORTIS, which, in my opinion, is like... teen boys doing teen boy stuff. It's like good dumb fun (positive connotation), lots of energy, nothing too deep, just living life, chasing dreams and establishing your own sense of self.

But the album ends on a more somber and reflective note with Blue Lips, which suggests the end of one phase and the maturation & beginning of another era.

The lyrics to Blue Lips have very strong messages of burnout.

The lyrics "This life is such a thriller / While I'm drowning and drowning / Deeper and deeper, all I see is blue" and "I need something else and a new why / Blue flame getting put out / These days getting too tired / Inner child tryna sneak out" really speak to me of the lifestyle of these young idols.

They're still just teenagers (James is an honorary teenager 🤣) but they're pretty much working 24/7. It's for their dreams and passions, but it's inevitable that burnout happens, and in those moments, they reminisce about being a child again.

And in a way, the flow of the album also feels very reflective of their journey.

The entire beginning of the album is super hype, and represents them starting with 100% battery. But after working so hard and for so long without a break, they're starting to get tired, and Blue Lips is symbolic of that feeling of like... okay, this was really fun and I love what I do, but I'm tired, fam. My battery's hitting 0% and I need to recharge.

I'm at a time in my life where I'm kind of near that 0% and I'm recharging, so Blue Lips really spoke to me.

TW: Scary experience, please don't read if you have severe plane anxiety!

I was on a flight to Austin yesterday around 5PM, and during the landing, the plane was rocking left and right really dramatically in the last hundred meters or so before landing. Also, the entire time, the plane's heading wasn't lined up with the runway, and the pilot was only able to correct this maybe a few seconds before touchdown.

At some point, the plane was rotated so far left so close to the ground that I thought the wing might hit the ground and we might flip! This whole experience was terrifying, and the lady beside me had such a bad time that she ended up throwing up afterwards.

After we landed, the pilot made no announcements, didn't apologize at all for the uncomfortable landing or explain what happened, and simply said, "Welcome to Austin."

I assume this was a "normal" landing but I've never experienced anything like this before in the dozens of flights I've taken, and I can't help but think something went wrong and I almost died.

Can a pilot in the sub explain what might've happened?
