Now that DitBoW has been out for a while now and we've had time to meditate on the album, I'm curious to see how others feel about it now.

I'm split in my feelings: on one hand it's my favorite release to date. I love it to the point that I've bought it twice on digital (one for myself, another for a friend) and also own limited tour vinyl and purchased the physical CD.

From top to bottom, DitBoW reflects Alec's musical evolution and growth, both sonically and lyrically. Every track is bold and intimate, all while inviting the listener to truly make every song theirs, which I think is the biggest strength of the album.

On the other hand, while DitBoW is still in my regular rotation of music I still find myself gravitating to earlier works more, like Guard Dog and End of the World. Alec's earlier works felt less structured and experimental, and as a result flow more freely (to me). In contrast, Whaling feels designed to be a more widely accessible release to be more appealing to a larger audience.

I've noticed a change in the crowds at live shows, it's started to evolve --NOT a bad thing, just an observation.

I worry that the music will continue to evolve to meet the market vs keep what made Alec's work distinctly, unmistakably Searows.

Just getting ready to embark on the drive to the show tonight, coming from NE PA! Does anyone want to meet up before the show for some eats 'n greets?

Pretty much the same as the subject header to this post: you're the world's most famous music artist. Top-selling and you sell out every venue you play at, but outside of roadies, assistants and tech crews absolutely no one shows up to your shows. Not a single fan in the audience. And you *have* to perform live, each and every show.

Outside of this you reap the benefits that most celebrities get: private jets, luncheons and parties with other famous people, all too polite to bring up or ask about the fact that no one oddly ever shows up to your shows. No one ever attends your signing events, either. In joint events with other artists and celebrities, none of your fans show up.

Do you accept that life?

Alec's team has announced that the Searows show in Woodstock, NY on July 24th that was previously going to be at Levon Helm Studios has been moved to Bearsville Theater, also in Woodstock!

Doors are at 10PM, with the opening act kicking off at 10:30!

Hello everyone! We've had this as a rule for some time, but I thought I would make a pinned comment regarding resales.

Put simply: we do not allow the public resale of tickets for Searows, or any other artist, under any circumstance.

I've seen a few instances where people are freely offering their tickets to other fans, and you are welcome to do that, but resale is strictly forbidden. This isn't intended to ruffle any feathers, but we as a team have discussed this and feel it's in the best interest when it comes to Alec, his band and their careers collectively. We want to help them out however we can!
