Marlin H-101

A true classic from the brand. I was surprised by the build quality of this watch. It features a screw-down case back with an O-ring and an inner steel ring with its own gasket to secure the module. This system is inherited from Casiotron watches.

One of my favourite Casio watch ever

One more.

That was all it took to complete the set.

The blue version was the last piece, joining the standard model, the Full Black and the green and orange accent editions.

I’ve always believed the B-640 is one of Casio’s most underrated digital watches. Not because it's rare or expensive, but because it perfectly represents what Casio does best: practical design, everyday functionality and great value.

Same model. Different watches

The Casio F-91W is one of the most iconic digital watches ever made.

But not all units are the same.

Some are heavily modified with aftermarket parts and upgraded displays.

Others remain completely original, like the classic Made in Thailand version.

Some have been rebuilt with different modules, like the Casio A-700 for improved lighting.

Others simply survive thanks to repair and reuse.

Same reference.

Very different lives.

Casio W-39

A classic and basic model made of stainless steel. The best thing about this watch is that you don't look like you're wearing a vintage watch. It really is.

It's back

Not every watch needs to be replaced. This little Casio F-91W had a loose crystal and could have easily ended up forgotten in a drawer.Instead, a small repair brought it back. That’s part of what makes these old digital Casios so special. They were built to be used, repaired and kept alive.

My favourite model

It might be my favorite model from the brand. In my opinion, it represents Casio's original values: digital watches with good build quality and affordability. This watch has that and much more.

The module is truly fantastic. Exactly the same in functions as the DW-5600E. Local time is always visible on the screen, even while the chronograph and timer are running. Dual amber LED illumination. Constant light while you hold down the button. For me, this is a plus. Super comfortable. Digits are a bit larger than on an F-91W. Programmable alarm with flash alert. 24-hour timer with auto-repeat, 24-hour chronograph. Long battery life and 50 meters water resistance.

The W-202/B-640 is the best Casio in terms of quality/price ratio.

Mini-DIY project complete. Now this F-91W is fully functional and provides excellent illumination. Simply place the module from an A-700 into the F-91W housing. Since this module is thinner, you'll need to install a longer spring that makes contact with the piezoelectric element and ensure that the metal tab that acts as a ground makes contact with the back cover.
