Air Recirculation

I like to keep the air Recirculation function on all the time. However I notice that sometimes when I do climate start, the function turns off. It also turns off whenever I press the Auto AC button and when I turn my car on again after it was previously set to Auto AC and air Recirculation.

Does anyone else have this issue and found a way to keep Air recirculation on while Auto AC is on?

Hyundai's "FSD"

I found this article.

2026 (The Prototype Phase): The "SDV Pace Car" mentioned earlier isn't a car you will be able to buy at a dealership. It is 42dot's final, full-stack prototype. They are using it right now to verify their end-to-end software architecture—including the new operating system—in real-world driving scenarios.

Late 2027 (Mass Production): Once the Pace Car testing proves successful, Hyundai will transfer that finalized technology directly into consumer models. Mass production for these next-generation cars is slated to begin in late 2027.

When these vehicles hit the market, they will be the first to feature Hyundai's true "bottom-up" software foundation. Rather than patching new features onto old hardware, these 2027 models will launch with a unified computer system capable of seamless over-the-air (OTA) updates for the entire car and will feature advanced Level 2+ autonomous driving built right into the core architecture.

It'll be interesting to see what actually happens

Comparing Tesla Model Y premium

I have a 2026 ioniq5 SEL on lease and I decided to test drive a Tesla model y 2026 premium RWD since Tesla owners praise it so much.

TLDR: I would only buy a Tesla model Y if I absolutely hated driving and was willing to fork up the additional $99 a month for FSD and the $10 a month for connectivity.

Pros:

The screen is responsive and quick

The app is also responsive and quick

More cargo space in the rear, front, and hidden trunk.

Full self-driving is nice (cost extra)

You can talk to grok (also costs extra and if you are into it)

Cons:

I absolutely hate that there's no buttons or physical shortcuts to functions. This goes for adjusting mirrors, adjusting steering wheel, opening the glove compartment, hvac controls, and more.

I live where there's lots of sun and that panoramic roof is just super annoying. With the sun beaming down on me constantly throughout the drive and the heat radiating from the glass roof it's just something I wouldn't be able to forgive, especially when I'm paying so much money for a car.

The cars interior looks so cheap and the aesthetic is super boring. I don't know how else to put this but it just felt like you are sitting at a lumon industries desk from the Severance TV show, that's as much detail there is in the car. I honestly can't believe people pay $50,000 for a car like this.

The one pedal or auto regen is annoying. The strength of the regen is so strong even at its reduced setting. I'm sure I'll be able to get used to it after a while, but I'd rather have level zero Regen like I have with my ioniq 5, where the only drag forces would be from rolling resistance or air resistance.

No Android auto or Apple carplay.

I have a lot of other criticisms but I'm Happy with my ioniq 5. Sure FSD would be nice but to me it's not worth $100 nor is it worth being a lab rat for a company I don't want to support.

The last thing I would do want to mention is that when I was talking with the salesperson on the floor I asked him what his customers are prioritizing when it comes to buying Tesla over other EVs and he responded with FSD was the main reason.

Ioniq 5 Auto Lock code/program (no hardware)

I have a 2026 Ioniq 5 SEL on lease and I was so frustrated with the absence of an auto lock feature, i decided to make my own. If you are interested, I will share my work.

NOTE: I have an android phone, and I do not know how to convert the program to iOS.

I used two things: https://pipedream.com/ & Macrodroid (app)

  1. go to https://pipedream.com/ and create an account,
  2. select "Projects" on the left and create a "New Project" on the top right,
  3. Copy my template with this link https://pipedream.com/new?h=tch_ovfGaq and click select workflow
  4. There should be two tabs, "Trigger" & "lock_ioniq_5", click lock ioniq 5
  5. Select "Configure" under the tab and fill in the required information username, password, pin, and VIN.
  6. Run a "test" and if no errors come up, "deploy". If there are errors, run it though AI to help you resolve. I know you can use pipedream's AI coding feature via "Edit with AI" tab at the top. I used it to create his code. Make sure you ask really good questions on how it can fix the errors, you only have a few tries before you need to subscribe.
  7. Once your code is deployed, copy the link in the "trigger" tab
  8. Download and open Macrodroid app
  9. Select "Add Macro"
  10. Add a trigger. You can set your own trigger but I use Connectivity-> bluetooth event->device disconnected. **-This only sends a signal to lock the car ONCE, after the car is turned off. IT WILL NOT LOCK YOUR CAR IF YOU DO NOT CLOSE YOUR DOORS/HATCH WITHIN THE TIME LIMIT.**
  11. Add actions:
  12. Macros -> Wait Before next action -> set time limit XX seconds/minutes
  13. Http request -> Post-> paste copied link from step 7
  14. Run tests via Macrodroid by tapping the three vertical dots and selecting either
  15. "Test Actions" (use this to see if the link from pipedream works, if it doesn't, repeat step 6) or
  16. "Test Macro" (use this for simulating turning off the car and closing the door after you exit the car)
  17. use Macrodroid's "System Log" function on the home screen to track the HTTP response code. I had 3 different ones 500, 404, and 200. 500 i think is the bluelink system maintenance, 404 is pipedream link is bad, and 200 is link/lock works

Please do not ask me any questions about fixing coding errors. I am not that type of engineer. Please refer your coding questions to AI sources like replit, gemini, claude, etc. Using these sources was how i was able to do get this working.

However, if you figured out an easier or better way to replicate the same function, please let me know

I need help finding a store or service that prints low quantity or single cutting bumper stickers locally. Anyone know where I can find a store or service that does this?

Thank you in advance.
