CA with 2 years of experience — thinking about starting my own practice

Hi everyone,
I’m a Chartered Accountant currently working in a full-time job, and it’s been around two years since I qualified.
Starting my own CA practice has always been something I’ve wanted to do. I’ve spent the last couple of years building experience, particularly in direct and indirect taxation, and I’m now at a stage where I’ve started seriously thinking about taking that step.
The biggest challenge, however, is figuring out how to make the transition from employment to practice while still having a stable income.
For CAs who have made this transition, I’d love to hear about your experience:
How did you get your first few clients?
Did you start your practice alongside your job?
How long did it take before you felt comfortable leaving employment?
What services helped you build your initial client base?
What would you do differently if you were starting again?
Would genuinely appreciate hearing from people who have gone through this journey.
