I'm venturing into hammock camping this summer, ready to pull the trigger on a Kammok Roo double 10 foot as an affordable first try-out, during the REI sale. Question.... I have a nice lightweight Borah 7x9 silpoly tarp. Thinking I'm probably SOL, but does a 9 foot tarp get the job done with a 10 foot hammock? Still a little confused as to whether "10 foot" means fully extended, versus "yeah it droops so the actual length when hanging is a couple feet shorter," in terms of rain coverage with the tarp. Thanks!

My two grown sons and I are visiting Tokyo in a few weeks. I’m wondering about karaoke. I don’t think the three of us in a solo room would have a lot of fun, and I believe that many karaoke in Japan are focused on getting your own room. I’m looking for a fun evening bar experience where we’re listening to lots of other people sing (ideally not American tourists lol), and after a beer or three, stealing ourselves to maybe step on stage. My 25-year-old kid is actually an awesome singer lol. Any tips on whether this is possible?
Didn’t get to watch today’s Miami game, but in the highlights, it seemed pretty clear that with CJ’s third inning triple, he stood at home plate for like an hour admiring his hit. Seems to me it could’ve been an infield home run if he had run it out. Not the first time, lol…
Just received the REI anniversary sale catalog, and strangely, no prices are listed, only the percentage discount. That’s the first time I think I’ve ever seen that in an REI catalogue. Are they using a dynamic pricing model where they adjust prices up and down, depending on who you are, where you live, etc.?

My two grown sons and I will spend 10 days in Tokyo, Kyoto and Hakone in late May. I am staying one day later in Tokyo, a Monday, departing on a Tuesday morning.
