Got a postcard in the mail saying I was potentially part of a TCPA settlement class for a company I genuinely don't recognize. Looked the case up on the federal court site and it's real, the settlement is approved, the administrator is a known one but have no memory of ever getting calls from this company. The class definition is broad enough that I might have been on a marketing list they bought without me ever directly engaging. Has anyone actually filed on a TCPA case where you don't remember the calls and gotten paid out, or is the attestation step where you confirm you got the calls supposed to filter out people like me.

Every team starts lean but six months later there's an enrichment tool, something for signals, a supabase database someone built, a sequencer, and zapier holding it together.

Each tool made sense when added. The stack grew one decision at a time and now it's a maintenance job. One person understands the supabase tables and nobody else touches it.

Has anyone stayed lean past the early stage, or does this just happen to everyone?
