Before summer holidays had a small fender bender with another car where both party was found 50-50 liable. I had all the damage and other party had no visible damage. We both signed the form and I got 50% of my damage covered by my insurance who would try to recover that from other party’s insurance. Similarly if other party claimed any damages (although I could see none) my insurance would need to pay 50% of that and I need to compensate that in order to not lose damage free years. However I haven’t heard anything from my insurance yet that I have a claim against me. Checked CIS database and it only showed the transaction paid to me by my insurance. When can I know if the other party claimed any damages and do they have any deadline to claim this after the accident?

Sorry for posting in English. Foreigner here and looking for a junkyard to find parts. I am looking for used undamaged rear bumper and plastic onderbumper of Toyota Auris hybrid from 2010-2012 . Ideally looking for a totalled car from a junkyard where back is intact. I have looked online in onderdelenlijn.nl and many websites but couldn’t find what I am looking for. Can I go to any sloperij in my city to look for such donor car? In my country you can go to a junkyard to find parts. I wonder how if works here. If you recommend some such locations here it would be great.

Commute runs past few farmlands. Everyday I need to zigzag around horse poop in bike lane. Why dog owners get fined if they don’t clean after dog poop but horse owners can leave their turd behind as if it is socially acceptable for horse to take shit anywhere?
Deze taxushaag is ongeveer 3 jaar oud. Ik heb mijn huis minder dan een jaar geleden gekocht. Hij was altijd groen, met een paar dode planten van de 25. Ik heb de haag 2 maanden geleden aan de zijkanten gesnoeid. 2 weken geleden heb ik twee dode planten vervangen door nieuwe en voor het eerst DCM-haagmeststof aan de voet van alle planten toegevoegd. Na het bemesten merkte ik dat er binnen 2 dagen willekeurig wat bladeren afstierven. Ik heb meteen alle mestkorrels met de hand verwijderd en daarmee bijna 90% van de oorspronkelijke meststof weggehaald. Toch zie ik na 2 weken nog steeds hier en daar grijze bladeren in de haag. Ik geef ze om de 3 dagen water en het water loopt goed weg aan de voet. Waarom zijn deze planten nog steeds gestrest, zelfs nadat ik de meststof heb verwijderd? Zullen ze na verloop van tijd doodgaan?

Two weeks ago, a new front door with a frame was installed. The door has a factory primer and still needs to be painted by me. It's a standard hardwood door with aluminum sides and insulation on the inside. Given the constant temperatures above 30 degrees, I can't paint in this warm weather. How long can I leave the factory primer unpainted before the weather becomes more pleasant, around 20 degrees?

Ik heb onlangs gemerkt dat de beschermfolie op het metalen eindstuk van mijn buitenrolluik loslaat. Is dit alleen cosmetisch? Moet ik de folie opnieuw aanbrengen? Waar kan ik deze folie kopen en hoe heet deze?
Due to construction our street has been closed, forcing us to park on the other block of the street. Naturally that block is getting busy with half people from our block parking there. Today I saw someone blocking one parking space in front of their house with two buckets of water 🤣 . This is public parking and having a house next to it doesn’t entitle anyone to “reserve” a spot. Most anti-social passive aggressive thing I have seen.

I witnessed a reckless one sided road raging and contacted police via online form giving a tip. I also mentioned license plate of guilty party and that I have dashcam footage of the whole incident. Given that there was no accident or damage involved, is there any chance of police following up on the tip? I am super pissed due to this unsocial driving and want this guy to get some hefty fine.
Every time I watch any football match in NOS I fell asleep due to monotonous Dutch commentary. So Cabo Verde just scored against Uruguay from long range freekick, and it is one of those classic world cup moments when newcomer underdog scores against stronger team. There was no reaction in commentator’s tone. I get this is not a passionate language like Arabic or Spanish, but come on show some emotions, WTF!

I am thinking of buying a used non-electric bakfiets (electric ones are too expensive) for my wife who doesn’t know how to ride a bike. She would only use it for 3-4 km round trip to bring our child from school. I wondered maybe a 3 wheeler would get rid of her fear of balancing and falling in regular bike. How difficult it is to ride these non-electric bakfiets without pedal assist? The distance is pretty short where there is no bus connection and it would help her doing small chores in the neighbourhood without being dependent on me.

Ik vind de kleur van de tafel mooi en wil die graag behouden. Ik heb echter op deze subreddit gelezen dat zelfs kleurloze olie in het hout kan trekken, waardoor de kleur verandert of er donkere vlekken ontstaan. Kun je een teakhouten olie aanbevelen die beschermt zonder de kleur te veranderen?

Mijn terrastegel is gebarsten tijdens het hogedrukspuiten. Misschien zat er een zwakke plek in de hoek en was de druk te hoog. De tegels komen onder de bank, dus het uiterlijk maakt me niet zoveel uit. Kan ik Soudal repair express cement gebruiken om de scheuren te dichten? Of een andere kit voor betontegels? Ik heb helaas geen extra tegels en weet niet waar de vorige eigenaar deze tegels heeft gekocht.
