DJI Mini 2 coastal footage, no paragliders were harmed as far as I know

I was enjoying the view from the cliffs, but seeing it through the DJI Mini 2 made it even better.

It’s weird how the drone can make a place you’re already standing in feel new again.

There were paragliders nearby, so I tried to keep my distance and not become the villain in someone’s vacation video.

As far as I know, mission accomplished.

My growing Tatsuro Yamashita / Mariya Takeuchi CD collection

I never expected city pop to become one of my favorite genres, but here we are.

Big Wave, Pocket Music, For You, Ride on Time, Love Songs, University Street... it's been a fun rabbit hole.

What should I keep an eye out for next?

Frontend is way more fun than backend, so I made a little mascot animation

https://reddit.com/link/1ums40v/video/gvij9yaxd3bh1/player

I’ve been doing a mix of backend and frontend work lately, and I think frontend wins for me.

Backend is useful, but web hooks, APIs, email setup, licenses, and backend flows feel like crawling through the walls of the app with a flashlight (a flashlight with no battery lol)

Frontend is more fun because you actually get to see the thing come alive.

Anyway, after getting cooked by backend stuff for a few days, I made this little character and started messing with animations for it.

The goal is to make Yapivo feel more fun, more alive, and slightly ridiculous in a good way.

Still a work in progress, but curious what you guys think.

Saturnia, Italy looks like the map you unlock after beating the tutorial village

Shot this in Saturnia, Italy with my DJI Mini 5 Pro.

From above, it looked like a healing pool from a fantasy game. I swear my brain started playing the Fairy Fountain song from Ocarina of Time.

A capybara and I have one thing in common: we both prefer doing absolutely nothing. Unfortunately for the capybara, I am lazier. So I put him to work.

This is Copibara, my first open-source project.

https://preview.redd.it/tlkceynqu5ah1.png?width=1024&format=png&auto=webp&s=d74e82942d6bce3b7fd33fc5994391f54aec5b5b

And honestly, I struggled a lot.

Not with the capybara. He’s innocent.

Mostly with Git (I had like infinite branches lol)

Branches, tags, releases, merging, version numbers... at some point I felt like I was not building software, I was fighting with a time machine.

But eventually I got through it, and here it is.

Copibara is a free open-source clipboard manager for macOS.

I built it because I kept copying useful things and immediately losing them (CMD+CTRL+SHIFT+4 was way too much work for my fingers)

Links, code snippets, screenshots, commands, colors, random thoughts.

Then I’d copy one more thing and the previous thing would disappear into the void.

So now Copibara sits in my menu bar and catches the stuff I was absolutely going to lose.

No cloud. No tracking. No analytics.

Just a small animal doing clerical work because I refused to remember things myself.

Would love feedback, especially from Mac users and anyone who hates stretching their fingers to get all 4 buttons just for a simple screenshot.

I do have two versions, one of them actually uses another uh project that I am working on, voice transcription tool called Yapivo

Shot this on my DJI Mini 2. Definitely not the newest drone anymore, but it still holds up better than people give it credit for.

Night shots can be rough with it, but when the lighting is right, it can still pull off something pretty cool.

I didn't plan on capturing the fireworks in the background but I'm not complaining lol.
