Im looking at a super cheap vanagon for a friend. 2.1 engine that runs and drives but we have a coolant leak underneath the slider door (hose replacement I think needed) and also this spot under the engine.

My question: is this above leak looking like from a head gasket?

Im willing to do the work as this van is around $600 with a title, so you can’t expect everything! Just want to check what the time scope is based on this cooling work needed

Body panel which I know I should add some metal to.

I do not weld, so it anyone has suggestions for the best way to adhere a piece of sheet metal behind this slot, and then some body filler on top to keep it tidy.

Not a concourse vehicle, but I’d like to cover the hole once the rust is treated (it’s not too bad, honest).

I do have an angle grinder and a bunch of other tools also. Just no welding setup.

Any advice or tips would be huge here!

I sent a message to a yard sale listing asking if they were selling any Records and they got back to me saying I’m gonna pull them out of storage come and check them out tomorrow. I showed up this morning there was no competition and six milk rates to dig through. All $1 a piece and most of these are first pressings which is amazing.

Highlights for me include Joy Division, new order, the television album Dead Kennedys and Descendants.

Also kind of neat to see so much oingo boingo in one spot!
