SilverHawks : The Movie

This is a shot in the dark, BUT ... is there anyone that works in development in this community?

I ask because there is an IP that I know WBD owns that I believe will make a really fun feature film.

SILVERHAWKS

With the recent release of "Masters of the Universe" and the rumored reboot of "G.I. JOE" along with the recent announcement of a live action "Jem and the Holograms" film ... THE 80s CARTOONS ARE HAVING A MOMENT.

And, I'm looking to get SilverHawks on someone's radar. Just imagine the possibilities with a cyber punk / rock and roll vibe?

Feel free to DM me ... OR ... reply right here. I'm open to a revival of the cartoon, a creation of a game, however, I prefer a FEATURE FILM.

Looking forward to connecting with a few colleagues at WBD about bringing the SILVERHAWKS to the big screen.

How Would You Produce a Multi-Cam Comedy on YouTube?

Over the weekend, I had a conversation with a Production Designer about my favorite genre of television; the multi-camera comedy.

It's the one thing that I keep coming back to when thinking about where I'd like to work.

It was explained to me that one of the challenges of producing a show like "Friends" or "Cheers" is the large upfront cost of building the set and setting up the stage.

Okay. Understood.

I see a lot of "LIVE" reinventions being produced on YouTube; from a new Late Night format to Game Shows. However, I see a gap in the market with sitcoms.

I would LOVE for the classic American sitcom to make a comeback in the New Media landscape. Imagine, filming live in front of a studio audience while, simultaneously, going LIVE! on YouTube?

So, let's get into the weeds on this topic.

How WOULD we go about producing a multi-camera sitcom for YouTube? Or Vimeo? Or ... some other new platform that hasn't been invented yet.

I'm curious to know.

P.S. If anyone is actually interested in bringing back the classic sitcom in a new way ... drop me a note. Cheers!

Updated My Campaign Mid-Cycle Based on Your Feedback

Original Post: "I'm a failure ..."

First, I want to thank everyone for all the feedback I received in my original post (see above).
I went ahead and updated the page.

I aimed to have more of an emotional "why" and made it less about the team behind the book and more about why the book matters.

I included a breakdown of where the money will be spent.

I even included an excerpt from the book.

I reworked the perks.

I switched the formatting of the page to feature the film the book is baed on.

I'm not expecting this to provide a sudden BOOST to my campaign, but ... with two weeks left? Maybe?

Anyway, I'd love to hear any constructive critisysm on the updates. And, if you think there is a chance for a "Hail Mary" surge to happen, let me know. Either way, I'd appreciate it.

Visit the page as www.myfriendblue.com ... THANKS!
Robert

My Kickstarter is a FAILURE ... .. ... .. ... (and I'm okay with it).

Welp!

My campaign is a failure. Genuingly. I have 19 days to go and I only have ONE backer.

And, I'm gonna be honest, I'm not motivated to advertise it.

Nope.

I'm just gonna take this loss and learn from it.

But, I can't help be disappointed. By the utter lack of interest by people who signed my pre-launch page, the mailing list and, honestly, personally loved the project.

When push came to shove, they didn't show up.

Huh.

Anyway, I'll leave it at that.

I'm not giving up. I am gonna take my licks and learn from them and hopefully create something better that'll grab people's attention.

But for now, I just shake my head.

Any Multi-Camera Comedies on YouTube?

I'm doing a little bit of market research and wondered if there are any creators dabbling in the genre of multi-camera comedies on YouTube.

I love the format and hope it can make a resurgence in the digital space or via streaming.
Any leads?

Thanks!

My Friend BLUE - A Picture Book about Sadness

It's 10:28PM PST ... so I hope this makes the deadline for Self Promotion Friday!

I'm Robert Keniston.

And, I've written a book called "My Friend BLUE".

It's currently LIVE! on Kickstarter as I try to raise funds to pay my illustrator to finish this book.

Here's the link: www.myfriendblue.org

The book is base on a short film I did in 2016 called "BLUE", in which a man tries to get through his day while dealing with a little blue monster that represents his depression.

You can watch it here: WATCH BLUE HERE

It made it into a couple of festivals and, during filming, I could tell that the story was resonating with people.

Flash-Forward to 2026 and I've created a children's picture book inspired by the film, AND, I got an illustrator from Walt Disney Animation to help complete it.

That's what the campaign is for ... to pay my illustrator and bring the book to LIFE!

I do hope, if you're reading this post, you'll visit www.myfriendblue.org and consider showing some support ... BUT, if you can't ... all I ask is that you at least share it with a few people who might like the idea and want to help out.

It is now 10:38 PST ... so, hoping to make the cut.

Thank you!
