Does the hybrid lurch/jerk?

I just test-drove the Sorento PHEV, and found that I was getting motion sick from the way that there would be a little lurch/jerk every time the driver took their foot off the brake gas. I'm assuming this is just the regen braking kicking in, I didn't realize it would go even when the brake pedal isn't being actively pushed.

Does anyone know if a similar thing happens on the hybrid Carnival? I'm wondering if it's different since the engine is different, e.g. it doesn't run in full electric mode. Or do they work in the exact same way, but just with a larger battery capacity on the PHEV?

EDIT: took their foot of the gas, not the brake

What's your favorite "these two things are actually the same" in math?

Things that feel like they should be different, but end up actually being the same concept/structure.

I'm thinking of things like how:

* 2d grids of numbers, and linear transformations on vectors, are actually the same (e.g. matricies)

* Proof-relevant pre-orders and typed monoids are the same (categories)

Koreader to break phone addiction?

I'm looking for recommendations on plugins or other things that I can use koreader for that can help break a phone addiction (by replacing it with something positive.) So I'm looking for short, interruptible things that I can pick up and very quickly do instead of doomscrolling or checking my email.

So far I've seen:

* Sudoko

* Crosswords (but I don't know where to get crossword files)

* Block puzzles

I'd love if there was a quick trivia game, or a way to load a random wikipedia page, or other "did you know"-like feature. Or loading a random short story from somwhere, etc.

So, what have you done? What are your tips?

Where to find cheap/free bike scrap parts?

Probably an odd request, I'm wondering if there's anywhere in Regina where I can get cheap/free remains of a bike, like something broken enough that it wouldn't be rideable.

I'm trying to build a trommel for sifting grass and bellflower roots out of my soil as I begin to xeriscape my yard, and lots of the DIY designs suggest wrapping chicken wire around two old bike wheels, and then using the chain/pedals of the bike to spin the dirt through the wire.

So I'm looking for somewhere to get an old broken bike that would otherwise likely end up as junk. Hoping not to spend money on it, since the whole idea of DIYing is to be cheaper than buying an actual sifter.

I guess I can just keep an eye out at garage sales, but I was wondering if there were places that would have scrap bikes/parts for cheap/free.
