Has anyone done AI training work through SME.Careers? Looking for real experiences

I’m considering AI training work through SME.Careers and would appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually gone through their process.

I’m interested in:

-What was the onboarding process like?
-How long did it take from application/acceptance to actually receiving work?
-Was the training or qualification process straightforward?
-What type of AI training or subject-matter-expert work did you do?
-Was the workload consistent, or did projects come and go?
How was communication and support from the company?
-Were payment, rates, and payment timing handled as expected?
-Did the actual work match what was described during recruiting?

Overall, would you recommend working with them?

I’ve found general information about the company, but I’m specifically looking for firsthand experiences from people who have completed onboarding or worked on projects through SME.Careers.

Positive, negative, or mixed experiences are all welcome. I’m mainly trying to understand what the process and day-to-day work are actually like.

What’s the most you made (make) per hour and what has been your longest project?

I’ll start.

$80 hr
Project Om.. and Or..

Longest three weeks (started project, near the end).

Project Liz..: Requiring contact with a current employer during a background check is a dealbreaker for some of us.

Is anyone else uncomfortable with this requirement?

I have no issue with a standard background check. Verify my identity, run a criminal background check, verify my eligibility to work, no problem.

But asking for my current employer’s contact information, including my manager’s name and phone number, crosses a line for me.

Many of us have full-time jobs. Applying for contract AI work doesn’t mean we want our current employer involved or even aware that we’re exploring outside opportunities.

That requirement alone is enough for me to decline Project Liz…

Curious how others feel. Is this standard, or did it give anyone else hesitation ?

I asked AI to make a Johnsonville commercial. It made… this. I genuinely don’t know what timeline we’re living in anymore.

What’s up with projects?

Don’t work HH pay isn’t there for scope of work. Or…., they were supposed to shoot out remaining tasks from Om… and nothing.

Applied for projects in dashboard now most are gone but one.

They could just give us a heads up so we aren’t hanging on waiting but my guess is they need us to be here when they get things together?

Any insight so I can stop losing the last bit of hair I have on my head?

Only alerts I get are from “employers” posting jobs and I think that’s probably bs scraped listings, not real employers. I can bet on it because one I work full time and they wouldn’t use handshake to hire ppl. Js

End vent

List of AI Training Companies

I'm only aware of a few but am interested in knowing more about other companies that offer this type of work.

  • Handshake AI (only one I've made money at so far)
  • SME Careers (pending interviews)
  • Uber AI Solutions (passed assessments but never see tasks)

What is your experience or recommendations where you are truly earning some sort of an income or payout?

What’s the highest-paying side hustle that’s actually sustainable long-term?

What side hustle paid way more than you expected, and was actually worth it?

There are thousands of side hustle videos online, but most seem to leave out the reality.

  1. What’s the most profitable side hustle you’ve personally done?

  2. How much time did it take to get started?

  3. How consistent is the income?

  4. And if you had to start over today, would you do it again?

😶The more boring the better.🥱

The TikTok Perma Ban

I created this community because I couldn’t find a place dedicated to everyday TikTok users dealing with account issues.

My experience:
My TikTok account was suddenly permanently banned. I appealed and received an email from TikTok stating that my appeal had been reviewed and my account had been restored.

When I tried to log back in, the app still showed that my account was permanently banned.

I had the account for years. I don’t sell anything, market products, run a business account, or create content professionally. I mainly watch videos, join lives, occasionally comment, and purchase coins to support creators.

After searching online, I found many users reporting similar issues:
• Unexpected bans
• No clear explanation
• Appeals with little information
• Delays in account restoration
• Confusing messages from TikTok support
That’s why this community exists.

If you’re here because you’re dealing with:
• A permanent ban
• A suspension
• An appeal
• Account recovery
• Login problems
• Age verification issues
• Support ticket confusion

🔥Please share your experience.🔥
Include:

What happened
Whether you appealed
What TikTok told you
How long you’ve been waiting
Whether your issue was resolved

The goal is simple: help each other and build a useful resource for regular TikTok users trying to get answers.
