From 151 to 26bpm using the MDR: a quick experiment

I've always had the curiosity to see how the diving response would work in different settings. High heart rate is one of them.

So, I conduct this small experiment, and went from 151 to 26 bpm in a bit more than 2 minutes. To make it more accurate, I've used a Polar H10 instead of my smartwatch.

The result surprised me, as my HR went lower faster than I expected.

10 pistol squats @50yo

The lady in the video is my wifey again. Last year we posted here and some people were worried that doing pistols could be bad for the knees. Apparently, no!

No gym membership and no structured work out routine. She is a baker (loves sourdough) and sometimes she likes to dance holding those dumbbells in the backgound. That's about it. As for food, mostly whole foods, loads of vegetables, and her guilty pleasure is eating some pastries from the bakery!

My first blender project

Hi folks, so I used to be a professional modeler for the animation industry and decided to try Blender following a course to get the grip of the tools faster. If you look for environment course using Blender on Udemy, you will find it.

The course is good - it shows basic materials, mix shaders, procedural objects scattering, and some other tools. UV part is very messy, the way the whole environment is built is a bit weird too, and a good part of the project uses set dressing with objects generated using photogrammetry, so not really modeling. But for a first contact, it was worth it.

Freediving myths

Like bajau spearfishing for 13 minutes, what do you believe are common freediving myths?

I will start: "if you want to be good at dry training, do dry training. If you want to improve in the water, you have to train in the water" - I used to read this here so often! Then I hit my first NR at 7:34 having only trained 3 times in a pool (5, 6, 7min - the last two were recorded).

What are popular opinions you think are myths? This can spark good discussions!
