Possibility of qualifying after quitting?

Hi all. I am considering quitting my job due to their unwillingness to be flexible with my return to work after having a baby. My daughter was three months premature, spent 94 days in the NICU, and has a lot of care needs as a result of that. She is being followed by half a dozen specialists, receives early intervention therapies (PT and speech) twice a week, and we have been told that she cannot go to daycare due to her high risk for serious infection that would be very likely to result in re-hospitalization.

I spoke with my supervisors about all of this in May and said that I would need some additional unpaid time off the set up care for her before returning to work. I work at a college so I was asking for about 8 weeks of unpaid time before the fall semester begins, which they were open to letting me take. However, which I put the request in, they denied it outright and said I have to come back, fully in person Monday through Friday, in two weeks when my paid leave ends. I asked if work from home was an option and was denied.

With all of this in mind, how likely is it that I would be approved for unemployment benefits after quitting with good cause? I’ve been trying to call to talk to someone, but I get hung up on every time due to high call volume.

I appreciate any input or insight you can offer.

How is everyone using their frozen milk while still pumping? I’ve been fortunate enough to have plenty of supply despite my baby being premature and in the NICU, but the flip side of that is I have so much frozen milk that I’m not sure how to go about using because it’s just much easier to give her the milk I just pumped.

I’m still pumping 3/4 times a day, so I thought I would use some fresh and some frozen together so that the funky taste of the frozen milk isn’t as strong. Any suggestions?

A secondary question is when did you all start weaning? I’ve added photos of my freezers so y’all can get an idea of what I have frozen, I just don’t know what is enough to start seriously weaning.

Thank you!

(P.S. I will be donating milk to my NICU, but I can only donate a fraction of it because the hospital doesn’t accept milk that was pumped while on blood pressure meds, and I was on a lot of them for quite a while due to pre-eclampsia.)
