Why do our RTS's keep coming back?

Why do our RTS's keep coming back?

Can anyone explain this or suggest a better process?

Probably a decent 10% of the packages customers bring in to our FXO to return to sender or our expired HALs end up returning to the customer or us. Ground has the worst success rate, but Express isn't immune.

Note that I always do the RTS scan, but I'm not entirely sure all my coworkers do. Is that the only issue?

Urge physically blocked, but weird feeling stays

Whenever I have the urge to pull, I almost feel forced to and cognitively stuck in gear. I can slightly engage with something else (usually reading), but find games and conversations (even text) let alone doing anything else physically very difficult. Bad pulling sessions for me last hours, often well past the point where my hand/arm is in pain from fatigue. I've also noticed that I feel more awake and cannot get sleepy during one even if I'm pulling all night long until the sun is literally rising.

I have a very important family wedding coming up next spring, so I am desperate to grow my current huge patches in by then and prevent any new ones. I do so by wearing head wraps almost 24/7. The riskiest time for me is as my hair is drying after showering.

As such, I've started to notice that even if I'm not pulling because there's a physical barrier, if I have the urge I still feel stuck, extra awake (but not exactly cognitively alert), and struggle to do most things. Honestly it kinda reminds me of how I felt when I had dystonia episodes from a medication side effect (same medication or another that I was on at the same time is possibly how I acquired trich).

Anyone else experience this?

One of my favorite parts of the job

... Is literally cutting boxes as an FXOer. Originally all I was taught was how to shrink boxes from the top, but a few weeks ago a handout was distributed that revealed how to adjust the length/width too.

My world was forever changed.

I will never again have to force a customer to use a huge guitar or golf bag box with a massive amount of excess space for long items. I will never again need to pack something diagonally just to fit it into an otherwise excessively large cube. The cardboard world is my oyster.

Today I modified this 24 cubed box into 39x24x9 (interior dimensions).

My coworkers think I'm insane for thinking these are easy and volunteering to do them so often, but idgaf. Perfectly sized boxes scratch a very specific itch and are so satisfying.

Speak of the devil...

On Wednesday my FXO team decided to add a cardboard and bubble wrap cushion at the bottom of our Ship and Go dropbox that I wasn't aware of until finding it at closing. I was closing alone so I checked in with my manager about it by text to make sure it wasn't a completely labelless package. It wasn't so we laughed at the idea.

Literally two days later, what do we find? 🙃

Guess we're adding to the Lost and Found box today.
