Incredibly and excruciatingly slow

For two days now I've found Wix Studio to be slower than ever to load - perhaps up to 3 or 4 minutes, and today I'm editing a website for a client and continue to get long delays for any action on a page being modified or built. Sometimes I'm getting browser errors as if Wix is down. When I check my machine, Wix is holding nearly 5 GB in memory AND nearly 7 GB on my SSD hard drive. What on earth requires nearly 15 GB of LOCAL resources? I feel like I'm back in the days of XTs and Netscape this feels so archaic. I can use phone or Chromebook and edit sites with perhaps any other host and CMS type I've used over the past 9 years. Just highlighting how low resources interfaces work find elsewhere.

Rant off. I'm posting because I wonder 1) there are unusual and unannounced Wix service problems and 2) if there are any local settings which may be needed or advised because Wix appears so uniquely archaic.

Is Webflow on top of WordPress getting more popular?

I have only interacted with maybe two dozen existing websites over the course of the past few years. But I've been working to land a couple of customers recently whose websites were built with Webflow in some layouts (I assume) and WordPress for other CMS duties as well as some other pages/posts, etc. Prior to this I had only come across a website where an older Weblow page or pages were "imported" into WP using a plugin - Webflow Pages.

Is this becoming a trend, and does Webflow make visual building that much easier than WP and other builder plugins? Maybe the original web designers were Webflow based and asked to build in WP environment. Can't say for sure.
