SMG/KMN (Suwoopin, Movin, and Groovin/Kill More Nkapps) - SMG is an unofficial alliance between various different Blood (Suwoopin), Gangster Crip (Movin), and Hoover Criminal (Groovin) gangs on the West Side of South Los Angeles. SMG was allegedly formed around 2010/2011 when several gangs who feud heavily with the NHC card came together under one alliance, with 83GC and IFGB being the main sets mentioned. Only certain sets on the West Side fall under SMG, as several older "Blood vs. Gangster Crip/Hoover" gang beefs still exist on the west side in the present day (Mainly DLGB/FHN vs. HCG). Though mainly a movement active in the county jail system, the SMG alliance has made it so HCG and their allies have established a near monopoly on pimping/prostitution market on Figueroa Street in recent years, as the Hoover gangs are notorious for extorting and murdering pimps from rival gangs that attempt to do business on the blade. As the increased presence of SMG-affiliated pimps has deterred many members of NHC, BC, and AC gangs from pimping on most of Figueroa Street since the formation of SMG early-2010s. Though the exception to this rule is between Gage and Florence Avenue, the stretch of Figueroa Street that 65MNHC now controls, as former SMG-adjacent hood PBHC has since pretty much died out since the 2010s due to lack of recruitment in the area. Since SMG has low key become a culture itself, as it's become normal for SMG sets to respond to each other with “okilla” instead of “ok”, drop thumbs in music videos as a diss towards Rollin’ 30’s OHC, and “break the rollin” by doing it backwards (diss towards all Rollin’/NHC gangs) even by gangs from the East Side and Compton that are geographically further in the city from NHC gangs. West Side 73 Gangster Crips (also known as WS 73GC, 7-Tray Gangster Crips, Deadly 70’s,Deadly Gangster, or DMG) is a predominantly African-American Crip set based in South Los Angeles, California. It operates primarily on the west side of South Central in the Manchester Square / Vermont Knolls area, roughly spanning Florence Avenue to West 76th Street, between Van Ness Avenue and Vermont Avenue (west of the 110 Harbor Freeway). 

The set falls under the broader Gangster Crips (3X / Tray) umbrella. It has historical roots in the late 1970s, reportedly starting as 73 Hustler Crips (Low Down Hustlers) before transitioning to full Gangster Crips affiliation.

Active Subsets

73 Gangster Crips maintains two main active geographic cliques:

• Original West Side 73 Gangster Crips (OWS73GC) - Centered on 73rd Street & Van Ness extending to Western Avenue. This is consider in sources recognized as first 73-based set in South Los Angeles . It represents the original west-side claim and core identity. 

• Wicked West Side 73 Gangster Crips (WW73GC) - This section runs from Florence & Normandie to Vermont Avenue. Historically aligned in sources with the 73 Low Down Hustler Gangster Crips (also called West Side 73 Hustler Crips), which originated around 73rd & Budlong. but over the years members have largely dropped the “Hustler” identifier to better align with W/S Gangster Crips politics & which other gangs (such as 71 Gangster Crips 71 flipping into fully Gangsters as well as having a close bond with the 83GC & Hoovers) The “Wicked” tag reflects a reputational shift in generations, partly due to stronger alignment away from the Hustler Crips (Hustler Nation) card. 

73 Low Down Hustler Gangster Crips (LDHGC73)-The 73 Low Down Hustler Crips identity is considered largely defunct as a standalone clique in Los Angeles proper, though an East Side 73 Hustler Crips (Low Down) variant remains active in areas like San Bernardino. 

Note on Territory: While 83 Gangster Crips claims portions of overlapping areas, multiple sources indicate that 73GC maintains and controls significant parts of the shared turf with 83GC and 74 Hoovers. Many accounts describe joint or shared control in these boundary zones.
