Hi everyone, I had a baby in the UK on the 28/02/2026 and my PR got approved on the 05/03/2026.

My baby and myself were both pretty unwell when she was born so I didn’t have time to add her to my visa before it got approved.

The waiting time for a child visa 101 seems extremely long and I have to arrive in Australia before it would be approved.

Can I take my baby over on a visitor visa (651) and then apply for an onshore child visa (802) when I get there?

Has anyone else done this? If so, how did it go?

Hi everyone, I had a baby on the 28/02/2026 and my PR application got approved on the 05/03/2026. I didn’t add my baby to the PR application before it got approved as my baby and myself were both ill during this time, long story short we are now better and looking at heading to Aus soon. How do I go about adding her to my visa? Am I able to complete a change in circumstances form seeing as she was born before it was approved or do I need a child visa? Thanks for your help!

Can I apply for a tourist visa for her and then apply for an 802 visa when we arrive?
