Hey everyone! I just started and yes I did watch the anime many years ago. I just wanted to say: MY GOD MY HEART IS BREAKING SO BADLY FOR KANEKI LIKE DO YALL CRY YOUR INSIDES OUT FOR HIM AS MUCH AS I AM RN!?!?
So I just finished Fire Punch and I honestly don’t know how to feel about it. I know I am happy, not mad. But I feel like I can’t shake off the feeling of sadness which is definitely something we all were to expect it would happen ultimately seeing how the events unfolded.
I feel like we got our conclusion tho? I just feel it’s fucked up how it’s San x Luna in the end (iykyk). I am extremely curious to know how the community feels about it.
I am someone who vehemently hates CSM’s ending. But Fire Punch? I actually like it, I feel, and I think it was conclusive to a point where I could move on with life (contrary to CSM which felt unfair to me as a dedicated, loving reader). Please share your opinions everyone I would sooo appreciate it!!

Honestly, this scene got me emotional reading it for many reasons.
1- This reminded me of Makima’s tears sitting next to Denji watching that final movie at the cinema.
2- The way Togata pulls back Agni as if to rescue him only to take his place was ridiculously funny.
3- I love Fujimoto’s dedication to his own person/character in his characters and works.
4- All this coming after Agni had just unknowingly rampaged on Doma and the kids, too. It’s just so emotionally packed I am so gutted it is not animated. I wish we could see it in action coupled with poignant music. Bummer, man.

2- Also, continuing the chapter, I HATE how Fujimoto makes his mangas (this and CSM) so impacted by Hollywood/western media. Making Suryu’s goal be to watch Star Wars pissed me off. I’ve been ignoring the abundance of movie references, but this specific matter really has me triggered. Seriously ruins the mood for me. Ugh. These are my two cents lol. Would love to know you guys’ opinions on it!

I just want to say a few things. No one except you guys would understand how I feel.
Reze was the true love for Denji. She should’ve at least been revived together with him (we ain’t talking bout the manga ending) instead she gets resurrected and used to fight him with no speech whatsoever (cue the Santa Clause puppetry reference).
Also, Makima is so sick and twisted for reprimanding Angel for not bringing Aki to kill her alongside him; she really was a dirty C^NT who tried her best to ruin Denji’s psyche.
Furthermore, can we talk about what a masterpiece of animation this movie is? Like, I cannot emphasize how WOW’ed I am when ai watch it, especially the action scenes including Reze.
