Sim Battles Are Great For American Planes

Love playing sim mode. This video demonstrates how well American planes perform. In sim mode American planes actually preform to their full potential. They are Fast at lower altitudes, climb better, turn better, and hold their energy better. Using all of that, combined with my ROE, and you can’t lose against enemies. Also helps that I fly with one to two wingmen, but we love stomping yaks and bfs and ki’s in Sim.

Went 22 kills 3 deaths and 2 GT killed this match.

This makes no sense at all

The A7M1 which i am fighting has a max altitude of 36,000ft with an engine producing 2,000hp, however at 32,000ft it makes between 700-800hp. The P47m could produce 2,800hp at 32,000ft. So how in the hell could this A7M1 perform better than me at its max altitude. It absolutely makes no sense.

I go to chandelle the A7M1 because it should have no horsepower or ability to climb, but nooo the thing pulls energy out of nowhere. I want to use my superior horsepower to stall it, but nope, thing acts like it has 4,000ho and prop hangs.

Something isn’t right with the flight models

American Bombers Need To Take More Damage

Why are American bombers so frail? In this video my b29 gets blown apart from 6-10 rounds of 20mm, cuts the wing off, separates the b29 in half at the fuselage, and takes an elevator off. Why is this the case for the PB4Y, B24, B17, and B29.

When I shoot a G8N1 in the wing 6-10 times like I did in my last post it carries on just fine with minimal damage. A ju288c, pe8, me264, all can take so much damage and 20-30-40 20mm shells before going down, yet american bombers take 2-10 rounds to blow apart. Why?

So why the difference in damage?

Even the yellow damage on my B29 is from 1 .50 cal bullet hitting me earlier in game. Its just absurd how weak they make american bombers compared to others.

** no i am not asking the exception to be the norm.
** I don’t care if the damage model is realistic, you are flying with a mouse that has an instructor aim for you landing higher than 50% of shots compared to the 3% roughly hit rate during WW2.
*** Please see my video where I shoot a G8N1 7-15 times in the wing with 20mm and nothing happens to it.

Air RB needs A Complete Rebuild

*** I had 3 other photos to attach to show the issue and time but i can only attach one piece of media.

In this game within the first 5 minutes my team was wiped out leaving me and an A-26 left. This hornet, yak 3u, f4u-7, and an LA9 were all chasing me for the rest of the match. The hornet was higher and the yak 3u, so I turned away to run and slowly gain altitude while keeping speed. For 14 minutes I had to run to get separation and altitude while slowly giving up distance until I took the video above with about 3 minutes left in the game.

To the side climb bros, it doesn’t work well when your chased by faster climbing planes like a yak3u or bf109k or La9 and interceptors like the hornet that are faster than you initially.

To the yaks suffer at above 5k altitude, they definitely don’t as you can see even full WEP this yak 3u kept up without wep (i have the yak 3u and know its OP).

So finally after the yak and f4u-7 ran out of fuel and RTB I was able to work the hornet to hit it with 1:27 seconds left to force it to RTB. I finally with 50 seconds left secured the advantage killed the LA9 that was pulling up for me and jut when i was ready to start getting kills the game ends…

So gaijin, can we PLEASE change something. This happens way too often and American planes should not be this disadvantaged. I get it, the meta is climb thunder, but you need to give a variance in spawn altitude up to 25,000ft to stop problems like this.

The Difference Makes No sense

I knew I was going to be killed by the G8N1, but I wanted to see what happened when I put 20-40 rounds of 20mm air target rounds into the right wing. After tagging the bomber it still flies perfectly fine…. Why?

It makes me wonder why this bomber survives so much damage when my American bombers don’t. So why is this thing so strong when my b17s, b24s, PB4Y and B29 all get destroyed or blown in half or snapped wings in 1-3 hits from a 20mm air target round.

Again it makes no sense to me.

A little P38L Action

Taking on the bf109 in this one. I don’t think this user realized how good the P38 or American planes are when used properly. At speed and altitude I can out rate him and pull on him in the vertical. Hopefully he learned from his mistake.

Life is too expensive to be a single teacher

Posted as humor because its just so funny how awful it is.

I live in one of the top five states for teachers pay. I have 3 college degrees. One undergraduate, my masters, and a 6th year degree. I am on my 11th year and make 80,000. However, after taxes and all the other nonsense BS they take out my true take home is 48,000 a year.

I have been trying to buy a house for 5 years but i can’t because in order to get a 350,000 mortgage they want you to be making 130,000 a year… but the average house price is 470,000.

Its just insanely bad right now and I’m ready to explore other work options that will pay me my worth.

Just tired of slaving away with multiple degrees to be left with basically nothing when i have friends who are making 200k a year with just an undergraduate degree.

Yup, my fault for going into teaching.

Given the ongoing conversations about modern day framing and how much catchers are moving, I was wondering if there has been a study done on pitcher accuracy when throwing to a glove versus throwing to a spot.

I have searched and have not found anything relevant to this. There are scientific and psychological studies on how we improve when focused on single points, but not when it comes to pitchers and spots.

I ask because I was having a great discussion about this with some young players and old timers the other day. I think it would be an interesting study to how accurate pitchers are with the old school catcher target versus the new school spot or zone location method. And then does one lead to more strikes or less strikes (taking away the frame job to try and steal strikes)
