This work addresses migration, using the monarch butterfly as a metaphor for the migrant, who travels from one place to another hoping to escape violence, precariousness, or uncertainty, often only to find themselves in an equally or even more hostile environment.

This piece speaks of the change in faith of many Mexicans living in an extremely precarious and violent context that leads them to pray for a life of wealth and pleasure rather than for the salvation of their souls and physical and spiritual well-being.
