🚨 MY CV HAS SEEN MORE OF ABU DHABI THAN MOST TOURISTS…

If you recently saw a CV from a girl named Akniyet and moved it to “not selected”… I respect the honesty. At least my application got a little exercise.

I’m a recent Carnegie Mellon University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and University Honors, currently in the UAE and looking for a graduate, entry-level, or internship opportunity.

And honestly, I think I’ve completed the full job-hunting package now:

LinkedIn applications.
Indeed.
Bayt.
NaukriGulf.
Company websites.
Recruiters.
Cold emails.
LinkedIn messages.
Follow-ups that start with “Hope you’re well” while I am clearly not well.

When online applications started feeling like sending my CV into space, I decided to try the offline version.

So I’ve been walking around ADGM, introducing myself to people, asking for advice, and handing out my CV at Galleria Mall like my life mission is to unlock the hidden hiring manager.

“Hi, sorry to bother you… do you know if your company is hiring?”

Some people have been genuinely kind. Some gave helpful advice. Some told me to apply online, which hurt a little because that portal and I already have a complicated relationship.

Recruiters are still somewhere out there. I believe in them. I just haven’t seen much evidence yet.

My background is in finance, analytics, business operations, and academic/program coordination. I have experience in financial modeling, valuation, Excel, data analysis, reporting, budgeting, market research, stakeholder communication, and project coordination.

During university, I worked as a Course Assistant for multiple courses, including Regression Analysis, Optimization for Business, Business Computing, and Business Science. I also served as Director of Finance for Carnegie Mellon Student Government.

I’m open to:

Finance / Investment Research
Business Analyst / Data Analyst / BI
Consulting / Strategy
Operations / Program Coordination
Graduate roles / Internships / Entry-level roles

Here is the serious part.

I know I am still at the start of my career, but I am ready to work hard, learn fast, and prove myself. I do not need a perfect opportunity. I just need one person or one company willing to give me a real chance.

Because for many people, the beginning of a career changes because someone once said, “Let’s give them an opportunity.”

If you are hiring, know someone hiring, or can connect me with a recruiter, founder, hiring manager, or team lead, I would be truly grateful.

If this post leads to an opportunity, I’ll come back and update everyone.

If not, you may still see me somewhere in Abu Dhabi with my CV, acting like I “just happened to be nearby.”

May Allah open the right doors for everyone searching for halal rizq.

Thank you for reading.
