Can someone help me buy my first violin plz [Mumbai] 😁

I live near Grant Road west. I am 19 years old and want to learn how to play a violin. I cannot hire a tutor as I am frequently travelling between nagpur and Mumbai .

My budget is around 7-8k inr. I know it is pretty less to buy an actual violin and would mostly only get me a VSO. I am okay with a second hand one as well in this budget if it is in a good shape.

Why did they increase the price of laundry of t-shirts and pants ?

As long as I remember it used to be 10rs and now it is 22rs. It is not too expensive but yet 22 is a lot.

[DSA:C++] [Machine Learning] Looking for a patient & collaborative study buddy!

I'm an 19-year-old CS undergrad looking to tackle DSA in C (currently 1100 CF / 1420 CodeChef) and dive into beginner ML. I know NumPy and Pandas but am starting from scratch with ML concepts, so I'd love to learn alongside someone. I learn best in a chill, judgment-free environment and am hoping to team up with a collaborative 2nd-year+ university student. I'm also actively trying to polish my conversational English, so partnering with a native speaker would be a huge bonus! If you want a supportive accountability partner for voice calls, please drop a comment or send me a DM!

Its now or Never ! To all the jains , irrespective of which sect you follow, We need to unite !!

I saw a post recently that deeply hurt me, and it’s a reality we can no longer ignore. Our history, our culture, and our sacred spaces are slowly being erased—especially across South India, but the pattern is spreading everywhere.

We have already seen the devastating encroachment and disputes over our holiest sites like Girnar and Kesariyaji through cheap, calculated tactics. Carvings of our Tirthankaras are being vandalized or painted over to change their identity, and anyone who speaks up is labeled a "Jain Jihad."

This isn't random. As pointed out in a recent breakdown (which I've attached), there is a literal step-by-step playbook that land grabbers and local administrations use to take over our Tirthsthans:

  • Small Encroachments: They start visiting regularly and quietly placing their own religious artifacts on Jain sites.
  • Media & Narrative Shifts: They launch campaigns claiming the site belongs to them, pushing narratives like "Jains are Hindus," "Jains are our brothers," or "Jains captured this first" to gaslight the public.
  • Creating a "Dispute": After a year or two, they successfully manipulate the public and administration into re-categorizing our undisputed ancient Tirth as a "disputed place."
  • The "Fair" Compromise: Politicians step in and grant half the rights to the encroaching party. This is a massive win for them since they started with zero rights just years prior.
  • Administrative Shutdown & Total Control: They use courts to halt all Jain activities under the guise of "maintaining peace." Eventually, Jains lose complete control of the site, despite having done nothing wrong, and courts tell us we can only worship "at our own risk."

If we stay divided—arguing amongst ourselves as Shwetambar, Digambar, Sthanakvasi, Terapanthi, etc.—we will absolutely lose our culture in the next 100 years.

It is now or never.

If this playbook is not stopped and exposed, these people will keep encroaching into our Jain Tirths one by one. Today it is Girnar and Shikharji. Tomorrow it will be Palitana, Pavapuri, or any other Tirth we hold sacred.

We are a small minority community, and our division makes us easy targets. We need to wake up, drop our internal sect differences, and protect our heritage before it becomes nothing but pages in a history book.

What can we practically do as a united community on a legal and administrative level to stop this playbook?

[C] [DSA] [Machine Learning] CS undergrad looking for a patient study buddy (DSA / Beginner ML) + English practice!

Hey everyone! 👋 I'm an 18-year-old CS undergrad looking for a consistent, long-term study partner to tackle Data Structures and Algorithms (in C) and dive into Machine Learning. Here’s what I bring to the table: DSA (in C): I'm actively practicing and currently sitting around 1100 on Codeforces and 1420 on CodeChef. I’d love to have someone to tackle roadmaps and debug code with. Machine Learning: I’m a complete beginner to actual ML concepts, though I have the basics of Python data libraries (NumPy, Pandas) down. What I’m looking for: The Vibe: I learn best in a supportive, judgment-free environment. I'm looking for a patient, collaborative study dynamic over Discord voice calls, away from the typical hyper-competitive CS energy. Academic Level: Ideally, I’d love to team up with a 2nd-year or higher university student. Language: I am actively trying to polish my conversational English fluency, so partnering with a native speaker would be a massive bonus for me! We can do a bit of a language exchange while we code. If you are looking for a chill accountability partner to grind through concepts with, drop a comment or send me a DM!

Looking for a patient & collaborative study buddy (DSA in C & Intro to ML)

Hey everyone! 👋 I'm a CS undergrad looking for a dedicated, long-term study partner to tackle Data Structures and Algorithms (in C) and dive into Machine Learning together. Here is where I'm currently at: DSA / Competitive Programming: I’m sitting at around an 1100 rating on Codeforces and 1420 (2-star) on CodeChef. I'm taking it seriously and love grinding problems, but I really want to avoid the toxic/hyper-competitive mindset. I learn best in a supportive, mutually encouraging environment. Machine Learning: Complete beginner! I’m highly focused on specializing in AIML for future research opportunities and have some basic familiarity with Python data libraries (NumPy, Pandas), but I am starting from scratch with actual ML concepts. What I'm looking for in a study buddy: Academic Level: Ideally, someone in their 2nd year of university or higher, just so we share a similar level of maturity and focus toward our degrees. Language & Location: One of my secondary goals is to improve my conversational English fluency. I’d love to partner with a English speaker. The Vibe: I am looking for a chill, communicative, and patient study dynamic. If you enjoy jumping on a voice call, debugging C code without judgment, and having a good laugh when our code breaks, we’ll be a great fit. If this sounds like the kind of low-pressure but highly focused study environment you're looking for, please drop a comment or send me a DM!
