Vintage pumpkin - matte finish?

Hi all, so I got this pumpkin on marketplace for a pretty good deal (so regardless, I love her). I'm curious about the finish... It's way more matte than I have ever seen on a piece before. Is this how this pumpkin comes or is it damage to the integrity of the enamel? I already gave her a little spa day with some bar keepers friend so I think the bit of discoloration is here to stay. Is there a way to brighten her up?

Edit- just realized you can't see the discoloration in this picture. It's just a tiny bit of like darker color on the base like on the cooking area.

Amazon le creuset

Has literally anyone ever had a good experience with buying from Amazon or Amazon resale resale? I bought a like new Le creuset in which the description said the piece was new, perfect condition, but the packaging was a bit dinged up, so I thought, totally fine I don't need the box anyway. When it arrived I was horrified at the packaging. Literally such a beautiful piece completely unusable because they don't package it like at all. It was just loose in the box (stem down) with chips and abrasions in the enamel all over. I'm sending it back but it's just so sad seeing the waste.
