Please help with additional doc, thank you!!!!!
Hi All! My CIT-0001 application has been submitted but I have not yet received an AOR. I thought I had a slam dunk with certified baptism records for Gen 0, 1, 2 who were all born pre-issuance of birth certificates.
With the evolving rules, I feel the need to beef up in anticipation of IRCC asking for more documentation.
What I have:
Gen 0- Born in Saint John, NB 1840. Her parents immigrated to Canada from Ireland as single people and then married in Saint John in 1839.
certified baptism record from the New Brunswick Catholic church. I also have her parents certified marriage record from the same church ( I did not submit)
Death record USA(I did not submit) it shows accurate birthplace, birthdate is incorrect, father's name and birthplace (Ireland) correct.
What I'm hoping for and have been unable to find: An additional Canadian record, Canadian Census record or any kind of immigration/border crossing.
The family shows up on the 1860 Chicago census. I've looked in the 1841 Canadian census and cannot find them. Lots of possible misspellings of their names. I haven't found any border crossings. Gen 0 siblings born in Canada up until 1848. so I know they were in Canada in 1848 and a sibling born in Illinois about 1850 puts them in the USA.
Before 1839 parents were likely in Ireland
1841 They are in Canada
1850 They are likely in Illinois
1860 They are in the Illinois US census
