I’m only asking this cuz one of my teachers said D grade wasn’t passing, which I’m pretty sure is incorrect.
So here is goes: D grades (even D-) count as passing a class right? From what I’ve heard and seen, D’s don’t qualify as prerequisite grades most of the time, with few exceptions.
I’m a CS major (Computer Science), and I got D’s in Cs 153 (required class) and cs 135 (technical elective). I should still be passing and graduating with those grades, right?
Ok so I’m in a bit of trouble, I’m probably going to fail a class. I saw that June 5 is the deadline to withdraw for the whole quarter.
However, is it possible to withdraw from just 1 class? I’m pretty sure I can pass my other 2 classes, but I just want to withdraw from 1. I figure if I do, I get a W on my transcript for that class, but is my GPA affected? I don’t want an F to ruin my GPA really badly.

I just wanna know: what are the easiest upper division CS tech electives for a CS Major? I have like 5 classes left to complete in 2 quarters, 1 is CS179 (the AI one), so I just need 4 more classes.
