Did you get these Begonias from me a few years ago maybe ?

Hi. I murdered some Begonias I was keeping over the last few years. I know quite a few people have gotten baby begonias from me on here so I thought I would reach out and see if anyone still had these specific variety that they may have gotten from me originally. I'm having a hard time finding them again. This is mostly just a plea post to see if anyone from a few years ago is still around with these lol Thank you for reading and responding 💗

Looking for:

Begonia Darthvaderina x borneensis

Begonia Magiya

Begonia shadow king

Begonia Vesuvius

Ok experts ... What is this ? petiole gall on terrarium begonia.

It's obviously some kind of gall. It's not by the roots, in fact, I pulled up the roots and roots look good. Always up the stem/petiole and not on a node. No sign of pests. Maybe from improper fertilizer during that point of growth? I've now seen it on 3 Begonias. But only randomly (like it doesn't keep happening and the plant doesn't look sick or die, which if it was bacteria I would think it would). I actually sliced one open on the Ferox and it was just stem tissue. Trying to determine if it's something to be concerned about. Originally I thought maybe it was the type because it was on the Ferox and montaformis only. But then recently I found it on a daun hitam. I cannot find anything anywhere else that looks the same.

All were grown from leaf cuttings in moss and are about 6mo-8mo old now and still living, and some flowered. They are in terrariums now under barrina T5 light, watered as needed. The fact that I found it on 3 though is making me concerned. You can tell I've been wracking my brain.

Excited to finally get a Lamoon

I traded for leaf props twice and melted them both times. This time I was able to trade for a rooted baby 💖

Cubaris won't eat my Begonias?

Hi! I currently only have springtails for my terrarium set ups because I collect plants (some fancy ones) and I'm always scared isopods will mow down something in my tank...mainly my Begonias. A friend of mine swears the Cubaris variety won't eat them and offered me some duckies because they're adorable.

I'm mostly here to get some 2nd opinions before I introduce any isopods. I think they are neat but I'd be super sad if they ate a rare plant.

Ive also noticed the Isopods I like most are actually Ardentiella. So I guess as a back up, should those be avoided, or would they also be ok?

If all of them are off limits then I'll just keep being a lurker of what other people have and keep raising my springtails 😂

Baby plants

Hi. Apparently I don't know how to let things go and just grow all the baby plants lol

Anyways. I have some for sale or trade. For trade I'm really only looking for a peppermint begonia...I recently melted one I got 😂😭 a fuzzy piper timika or very small plants...like micro small. But you're always welcome to throw something out. I've been surprised by stuff before. Also you might have to pack an ice pack shipping to me .... 🥵🔥🌡️

Make me an offer if you want bundles also.

I'm shipping from AZ. Shipping has gone up and is now $14 😑 unless you are very close like within AZ or CA.

I might be slow posting between toddler interruptions.

What are you taking for Hashimoto’s or hypothyroidism? Do you worry about the thyroid warning?

Hi...just like the title says. My daughter was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and is interested in trying microdosing GLP-1s for possible inflammation benefits. I’m curious what others are doing, specifically what medication you’re taking and at what dose.

Sometimes it gets confusing comparing doses because semaglutide and tirzepatide use different dosing scales, but all the numbers people mention (.25, .5, 1, etc.) start sounding the same after a while.

Also curious whether the thyroid warning concerns you at all with Hashimoto’s/hypothyroidism.

Thanks for any feedback .

Anyone use glp1 who didn't have "food noise"?

Has anyone here taken a GLP-1 primarily for PCOS symptoms/metabolic issues and not for appetite and "food noise"? If so, how is it going? What did you take (type/amt)?

My doctor is bringing them up because of insulin resistance/prediabetes labs, elevated cholesterol/triglycerides, inflammation markers, etc., and I’m trying to understand what benefits people with PCOS noticed outside of just the number on the scale. I do need to lose weight but I don't struggle with appetite, sometimes forgetting to eat all day till dinner.

Did anyone notice improvements in things like:

- cycles/ovulation

- inflammation

- fatigue/energy

- skin

- hair growth/loss

- testosterone levels

- cravings/blood sugar crashes

- mood/anxiety

- overall feeling physically better

I feel like most GLP-1 discussions online are very hunger centered, and I’m more curious about the PCOS/metabolic symptom side of it. I recently looked at Lavender sky health, and just trying to decide if I should do it.

Thanks !

So I have a dwarf peach planted there that should get 6ft tall x 5-6ft wide. That will hopefully add some shade to these rooms. I plan to plant some dwarf Ruellia in front of it like a ground cover. But I don't know what to plant between the house and tree. I was thinking maybe Valentine bush .... But eventually it won't get blasted by the sun like it does now. Wanted something that maybe gets 2-3 ft tall/wide. My house faces South and until this tree is mature there is no shade.

What would you guys suggest?

Does anyone know what kind of worm might be in with my Thai springtails. At first I thought it was slime but no, that was a ton of worms coming up to feast on the fish flakes I put in a few hours ago. I used the same substrate and plant cuttings for my orange springtails and they do not have the worms. Sorry for the video it was hard to capture with my phone. Also, what do I do? Are the worms going to out compete (ie kill off) my springtails.
