Definitely a bit disappointed that the rumour engine post from February turned out not to be a troggoth. All the new gargants look great but was definitely hoping to see some new Troggoths.
My favorite part of the Ogre Kingdoms, or Mawtribes, has always been the beasts and monsters. I've been interested in picking up the Frostlord on Stonehorn and the Mournfang Cavalry just to collect.
Now, with the refresh and the rumors that the big beasties are going extinct, I figured there'd be no better time to snag them.
I was just wondering if anyone has tried building them without their ogre riders, or if anyone has any thoughts on how it could be done.
Any feedback or suggestions for kitbashing or converting them without the riders would be appreciated.
Gorgers are my favorite part of ogres/ogors and are what got me interested in them but am I the only one disappointed with the new gorger we got?
I hate to complain because getting new stuff for the faction you like is always nice but I felt like the gorger was missing something. Not enough gore or not savage looking.
The fact that he is pulling the chain also kinda takes me out of it, wouldn't it be better if he was chained to it? Or personally, I would have liked to see them hooked to the cauldron, like how Skrag is meat hooked to his cauldron. Seems more in fashion with these savage, barely sentient ogres.
That's just my person thoughts and was wondering if anyone else felt dissatisfied with the gorger element of this refresh.
Appreciate any discussion about it.
Was reading the Gloomspite book and it mentions armoured and helmed Troggoths. They seem to be the personal guard of Skragrott the Loonking. I'm a pretty avid trog/troll fan and have never heard of Troggoths wearing actual metal armour.
Not sure if I'm missing something or if this is just an addition of the book only.
Would love to see some armoured Troggoths miniatures though.
