Absolutely disappointed with the 990H for music

So I had a Q800F with 9500s rear speakers, when I played Dolby atmos music via Tidal Connect, it sounded marvellous, I could hear the instruments playing above my head, behind me, to the side of me, it felt like I was seated in the recording studio with the Producer.

Today I installed the Q990H, tested movies and series and it's damn good, but when I switched to Dolby Atmos music via Tidal Connect, good God everything fell flat, the rear speakers sound like they are just there for fancy, just little instruments coming out of it, everything is just CENTER & WIDE based on the bar. I tested it multiple times, restarted the bar, used my samsung earbuds to know if Tidal is the cause and still same thing.

The entire ecstasy high I had to enjoy my music on a better system is completely gone. I'm heartbroken to say the least.

How does a lower tier model have better music capabilities than the higher end one, Samsung botched this.

What old model to get

65in LG C2 (2022) : Used (GOOD STATE = micro scratches on the screen & accessories) 733euros

77in LG C1 (2021) : Used (GOOD STATE) 937euros

65in Philips OLED760 (2025) : New 979euros

Philips OLED 760 any good?

Selling my TCl tv and looking to upgrade, I'm seeing the Philips 760 for 989 euros, I know it's the entry level of their line-up, but is it any good compared to say the LG B5, Samsung S85F & S90F?

I don't want to spend 989 euros now and 3 years later when it breaks down because it's entry level, I'll have to buy another TV.

Thanks your opinions and suggestions.

Sony Quad with Sub 8 worth it?

I currently have the Samsung Q800f with rear speakers, and I have the opportunity to get the Sony Quad at 1499 euros, and if I choose the Sony Bundle, I will also get the Theater Sub 8 at half the price for 349 euros, bringing my total to 1800 euros and some change.

Question 1: Is the Sony Quad honestly worth it at that price or should I gamble and wait for maybe a lesser price? Does it ever go lower than 1499?

Question 2: is the entire system worth it at 1800 euros?

Thanks

Q990/Q995 soundbars not compatible with Music Studio 5&7 speakers.

After debating on reddit and seeing zero information about the music studios online, I contacted a Samsung AudioVisual rep and they said that if you have a Samsung soundbar ALONE, it is not and will not be compatible with the Music Studio 5 & 7, that in order to ever pair the music studios with a Samsung soundbar you need to have a Q-symphony capable Samsung TV from 2022 upwards.

Well for me that hates the Samsung Tizen TV software and prefer Google TV from TCL and Sony, this brings the end of my Samsung Soundbar journey, I'll be buying the LG Sound Suite when it releases in France, because it's 2026, I can't use a 2 speaker system anymore, I need a 4 speaker system like the Sound Suite or Sony Quad.

And for those who want the best 2 speaker system, Samsung falls way down the list when compared to the Klipsch Flexus system, JBL 1300Mk2, Bose new Lifestyle Ultra system that sounds absolutely fantastic (the surround speakers sound so beautiful), SVS will launch a soundbar system this year, and those of us that know SVS, we know the beasts they make in the audio space.

The only reason to ever get a samsung soundbar in 2026 and beyond is just pricing, if you can't afford the other brands.

Appreciation post (Just did the yearly sub)

I started using this app when the Dev launched V2 back in 2025 September or october, it came at the right time because I was tired of spending time configuring addons & choosing what file format to play on the other popular free app we all know of.

And since 2025 this app has been fantastic, especially with V3 which launched a few weeks back giving us (anime watchers) a one stop shop for everything (movies, series & anime) with a streaming app-like experience, all I do is press play.

I just need those IMDB ratings to be added, so Dayslaw we are waiting for that update🙌🏾.
