31,5" HP OMEN Transcend 32 240 Hz 3gen QD-OLED UHD "demo unit" for 500 € ?

Hi, could someone please advise me whether this

monitor is a good deal for €500? It's a

demo/display unit with a full 2-year warranty. I'm

looking for a 240 Hz 4K OLED monitor.

Alternatively, do you know of any monitor in a similar price range? Thank you

Best choice in 2026 for 1440p OLED Gaming Monitor under $500.

I am looking at a new 27-inch monitor, mainly for gaming. Going to try OLED for the first time, and am a bit confused about the QD vs. WOLED, generations of OLED, and the differences between them.

What are some top recommendations in this price-range, and why?

Big 27" OLED decision — need help choosing

Hey guys, I’m planning to upgrade from my current 24-inch IPS monitor to a 27-inch OLED, and I basically have two decisions to make.

Current setup: Laptop with i7 11th gen, 16GB RAM, RTX 3070 8GB.

Usage: Mostly office/coding work, movies/TV series, and single-player story games. I don’t really play competitive FPS games.

  1. 1440p OLED vs 4K OLED I was initially confused between 27-inch 1440p OLED and 27-inch 4K OLED. Since my usage is more productivity/media/single-player games rather than competitive gaming, I’m leaning toward 4K for sharper text and better media experience. Does that make sense with my laptop specs?

  2. Which 27-inch 4K OLED should I buy? Options I’m considering:

  • Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 — leaning toward this because of the glare-free coating. Is it actually easier on the eyes for long coding/office sessions, or does it reduce image quality too much?
  • Alienware AW2725D / AW2725Q — heard good things about Alienware’s warranty/support and glossy OLED image quality.
  • Lenovo Legion Pro 27UD-10
  • MSI — not considering currently because the 27-inch 4K model doesn’t seem available here.

S90F vs G5 77''

I know, they are in different segments. But at the prices they are today, I can afford either. The LG is roughly $500 more than the S90F at this point. I've been consuming everything I can find about these two TVs and they are pretty neck and neck in terms of features, image quality etc. I don't want to list every single pros and cons - of which there are many - of these two TVs here, and none of them affect me much. The primary thing I wonder though is does G5's higher peak brightness win over the S90F's higher color volume in bright areas of a scene?

Usage:

- no gaming.

- mostly movies tv shows from streaming services/rips.

- rarely cable.

- country: US

- room: living room. There's a big french window with blinds that I can close when I want to watch something immersively but of course there will be some amount of ambient light bleed through the blinds during the day time. There are a couple of lamp-posts that I can move if their reflection is a problem.

TIA!

Are all WOLEDs like this?

I'm testing this LG 32GX870A-B (4K 32" WOLED) and it seems to have both black crush and color banding making color gradients not appear as smooth as they should.

Elden Ring example: https://imgur.com/a/nbc3ogr — what would be a pretty smooth gradient on a different monitor is showing abrupt edges on this LG monitor.

Me slowly adjusting brightness: https://imgur.com/a/ukvfXF0 — this doesn't adjust the entire image evenly, seems to be weirdly shifting where the hard color jump is within the gradient. Also I can't completely get rid of the black crush, increasing Black Stabilizer helps a bit but it makes everything too bright. And even 100% Brightness still has black crush.

From what I'm reading this LG is using the same 3rd gen WOLED display tech as the previous 32GS95UE-B model, and ASUS models like the XG32UCWMG, XG32UCWG, and PG32UCDP. Weirdly enough I can barely seem to find anyone mentioning these issues in Amazon/Best Buy comments or even YouTube reviewers like Monitors Unboxed... so I'm wondering if I just got a defective unit or if all WOLEDs are actually like this and this is just a normal flaw people accept?

I'm trying to decide whether I should get a replacement unit, or try a different WOLED like the ASUS XG32UCWG... or switch over to QD-OLED entirely.

Appreciate any advice/suggestions, thanks

ps: I've already tried everything I could think of but nothing has worked so far: OSD settings (tried all game modes, Brightness, Gamma, Black Stabilizer). Gamma calibration in Windows 10 (Display Color Calibration). Both SDR/HDR modes. Different refresh rates: 60hz, 144hz, 240hz. Both the DisplayPort/HDMI cables that came with monitor. Display settings set to 8/10/12 bpc, and Full RGB 4:4:4 (not Limited) in AMD adrenalin settings. Installed LG Switch software but there are no firmware updates at all for this monitor. And I also tried connecting monitor to a different computer (laptop).

Samsung S95F OLED - temporary vertical lines on startup. Is this normal?

Hi everyone,

I've had the Samsung S95F for about 3 months now. Today, right after turning it on, I noticed these vertical lines across the screen.

They disappeared completely after a few minutes of use, and the picture is perfect again. Is this just the TV finishing a compensation cycle upon startup, or should I be worried about the panel?

Thanks!

Not sure what to get

Hi guys! I'm saving up for my first oled monitor and have done lots of research, but I'm stuck between 2 models that I'm not sure what to go for.

The MSI - MAG 274QP look really nice, but there's also the Alienware - AW2726DM, which will save me roughly 70 bucks if I get it.

Is there a huge difference between the two, or should I save money by getting the alienware?
