small darn for a small hole!
and for once I remembered to get a before photo. (and a during photo!) as the title suggests it is a small darn for a small hole: two strands of embroidery floss were used for each to create a small but colorful darn.

this is my methylation panel and I am trying to make sense of it. my doctor advised a general B complex, but whenever I do that, it causes insomnia and I start waking up at 3-4 am and can't fall back asleep.
as you can imagine this is rather frustrating for its impact on my mental health and general energy levels.
I've been advised that I should start with a low dose and build gradually, but I'm not sure what a low dose is or what a timeline for building gradually looks like. I've also been advised to take niacin with food to test for excess methyl groups, and to adjust my level of B12 relative to everything else.
I'd be very grateful for any guidance or advice that can be provided as I have been sleeping poorly for a very long time and the depression and anxiety that is at least partially caused by that poor sleep sucks to try and deal with and manage
per this sub's recommendations and per my own genetic results and relevant mutations, I started taking TheraPro Rx's Methyl Multi to try and supply the deficient methylated B vitamins.
it caused a resurgent insomnia, wakeg up at 3-4 am without being able to fall back asleep, and my mental health often crashes severely when I'm tired. that's been going on for two weeks, I thought it would clear and it hasn't yet.
would appreciate any advice/recommendations that the more knowledgeable folks here can offer, and happy to supply any additional information that might be relevant.
the cuff was slightly worn so decided to say something different for it from other mends I've done and seen.
first, in two strands of black embroidery thread, I did a blanket stitch across the worn area.
then, pairing one strand of blue and one of dark grey, I did six rows, weaving over and under.
pleased with it! it came out subtler than I thought it would, honestly. the contrast between the red of the plaid with the blue works wonderfully.
offered: a complete ChiaoGoo Twist 4-inch red lace interchangeable mini set.
only the size 1s have been used. everything else is, functionally, brand new.
I used them to knit one sock, which is how I discovered that for the size of my hand, the 4-inch needles just aren't quite long enough, as it leaves my hand resting on the connection between needle and cable, which isn't great for the longevity thereof.
(in the course of knitting that one sock, I broke a separately-ordered 30' cable and had to get it replaced. I appreciate ChiaoGoo's excellent customer service but would prefer not to break anymore regardless!)
as such, I am selling the set and intend to use the monies gained thereby to offset the cost of a replacement 5-inch set.
$85.00, including shipping. US Only.
just stumbled by happy accident on this primer on the relationships between autism and ADHD and a slew of other conditions. it's an introductory primer for primary care clinicians but might be of use to folks here.
