The characters' reliance on their ability to defeat large numbers of trained men single handedly

The most recent episode was at least the third instance of this in the show.

The first was when Daemon showed up at Harrenhal on a dragon and immediately started leathering guards, the second was when Aemond did the exact same thing in this episode, the third was Daemon attacking King's Landing.

I think there was a fourth one when Daemon soloed a load of guys on a beach, but IIRC that was at a point where him being on a suicide mission actually made sense.

Now I don't mind these guys being extremely strong fighters, if they're in a desperate situation where they're attacked by several men and survive that's just a dramatic situation, it's not that unbelievable, people survive those kinds of odds. Why, though, are they inserting themselves into these situations when they need to perform miracles to survive? Why are they so sure they can defeat an unknown number of opponents with unknown skills? Why do their plans rely on this so much?

Even if you put it down to their male arrogance or recklessness, Rhaenyra accompanied Daemon on his suicide mission. What was her plan if Daemon got mobbed? What if there was even one archer in this castle?

Why aren't they sending messengers demanding surrender and staying in the air on their massive dragons?

Are we to believe that Daemon and Aemond - who conspicuously has one eye - have skills are so far and away above the trained guards of Westeros that they can insert themselves into these situations with no risk to them? Are we to believe they're extremely idiotic and extremely lucky? Are they all just constantly going with no care whether they live or die?

It's annoying the shit out of me, they might as well be walking around with physical character shields.

And I know, I know, Aemond got stabbed in the back - which he should have been much sooner - and I haven't read the books, but I've watched TV before and I'm guessing he'll be fine.

Feature Suggestion - Holiday/Vacation Mode

Often you'll have scenarios where the goal is some way off and you've effectively already completed it. You're just left waiting for time to play out. You can put the speed forward to 4x but this still often takes a very long time.

My suggestion is to have a holiday mode, there's a similar feature in the Football Manager series. You click an option "Holiday" and a menu comes up. In the menu you can set various options for when you return

E.g. - on a particular date, when number of guests hits X, when money hits Y, when a ride crashes. Once you've finalised the settings you click "Go on Holiday", the game then goes into Hyperspeed until one of the requisite conditions is met.

Better Call Saul - $7m bail

In Better Call Saul, a Cartel member named Lalo is arrested on suspicion of murder.

Lalo is remanded in custody for 3 days under a false identity. The prosecution argues that he should be kept in custody because he's a foreign national, with no ties to the community and a flight risk.

Lalo's lawyer argues that there are irregularities with the prosecution's case, there are credible allegations of witness tampering, and that he should be granted bond.

The judge agrees, but sets the amount at $7m, with no explanation, and no suggestion that Lalo would be able to pay that under his assumed identity.

Here's the full scene

Is this at all realistic?

It seems to me that if the judge thought the accused should have bail he'd set the amount at something achievable, figuring out what the guy's assets were and what he could reasonable afford.

If he thought the accused shouldn't have bail, he wouldn't set any amount, or he'd require him to wear a GPS tracker or be under house arrest (this was set in about 2004 in Albuquerque, NM so IDK what options would be available)

At $7m if he is who he says he is, he just stays in jail. The only way he gets out is if he's secretly absurdly wealthy or backed up by people who are, which is exactly what happens.
