Street Jogger Gang Evades Over $2,300 Of LPD Tickets -- August 17, 2026

There is a Lubbock Police Department officer around my area who likes to give tickets if both of your feet aren't on the sidewalk. The guy must have been off for the day. He needs to step up his game, go for a mass ticket event, and maybe get promoted to Parking Control. $147.00 per person tickets for being on the street add up fast. LOL

fudgemeister provided great commentary on this video. For those of you who wish to see a video of my favorite Lubbock Police Department officer ticketing a walker, do a reddit search for LPD Officer Tickets Walker -- August 22, 2024 .

Two Skunks Meet On The Back Porch -- August 14, 2026

One skunk comes from the front yard and the other from the alley. They meet up on the back porch. Listen closely to them near the end of the video.

Great Right Turn, Horrible Right Turn, and Typical Pickup Driver Lane Changing

The first driver makes a superb right turn and doesn't cause drivers behind to tap their brake pedal.

The second driver in the blue vehicle is a clueless moron who probably doesn't even have a driver license or vehicle insurance and is a cause of rear-end collisions.

The third driver in the pickup doing a double lane change is seen daily all over Lubbock. It's a young male pickup driver specialty. LOL

Audio muted due to me swearing two out of three times.

Texas Dove Hunting Season Starts September 1, 2026

Lubbock Police Department, in co-operation with Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, wish to inform the public that the 2026 Dove hunting season begins September 1, 2026 and not a day earlier.  Both organizations thank-you for your attention to this matter.

Three Sad Sack Lubbock Drivers -- July 29, 2026

First driver in car just can't get the vehicle up to at least 60 MPH at the top of the ramp onto Loop 289. Work your way into the traffic flow or get your butt off the Loop and stay on the access road! Or better yet, turn in your driver license and call it a day.

Oh, and what would we do without the pickup truck drivers that continually run over people, walkers, joggers, wheelchair users, dogs, and fire hydrants when they're not running into houses at 2:00 A.M. after bar closing time? I don't think half of the pickup truck drivers can even see over the steering wheel. They sure as hell don’t know what a side view mirror is for.

Sound muted due to me swearing in all three video segments.

This Driver Runs Stop Sign Every Workday -- July 29, 2026

You can set your clock by this one who is a regular stop sign runner. And the other drivers near the four-way stop signs at the intersection better stop for their own safety because guess who always has the right-of-way?

Lane-Splitting In Texas Is Illegal, Dummy! -- July 22, 2026

This clown just doesn't care what the law is in Texas in regards to lane-splitting or the speed limit. News channels thrive on motorcyclists due to how often they become the top-of-the-newscast roadkill story.

Move Over, Dummy! -- July 16, 2026

Loop 289 access roads often have space for drivers to move over to the far right side of the road when making a right turn. It's a great concept that quite a few dummy drivers fail to grasp. Drivers behind the moron switch to the left lane if possible or slow down to avoid running up the driver's tailpipe.

Audio muted due to me swearing.

Step On It, Dummy! -- July 9, 2026

The access ramp on Loop 289 is to get your vehicle up to moving traffic speed (65 to 70 MPH). It isn't 44 MPH, dummy in the Kia with handicapped license plates. Everyone behind you had to hit their brakes while you diddled along at a snail's pace.

Audio muted due to me swearing.

It's 3:04 A.M. Do You Know Where Your Children Are? -- July 4, 2026

Won't show the video with their faces visible due to their age, but these two children were vaping while walking. The kid with the red shorts can blow a good cloud.

Time To Check Out The Classroom Decorations

Per a Google Search on color combinations, some joker left out the color green to sneak this one by Lubbock Independent School District administration. Picture is from the message board in front of the main entrance at Mackenzie Middle School.

"He stabbed me!" -- June 25, 2026

06-27-26 UPDATE: DifficultYam463 believes that a FEMALE was arrested for a stabbing. After listening to the audio too many times, I think the correct title for this topic should be "She stabbed me!" Thanks for your post, DifficultYam463.

If it isn't pit bulls, car burglars, or shots fired, then it's domestic disputes. Today's episode is a domestic at one of my favorite spots on my morning walks. At least three Lubbock Police Department vehicles, an ambulance, and a fire truck showed up with sirens blazing. Victim hauled off to a hospital. Looks like the stabber made a getaway in the vehicle that was parked on the street.

Rex Scares Away Two Foxes -- June 6, 2026

Gray foxes are very common in the Texas city I reside. Cameras record them probably five days a week and often multiple times on those days. The cat/fox interactions are amazing. The cameras have never recorded a gray fox chasing a cat, but occasionally record a cat chasing a fox. Here is Rex, a wonderful cat who was born with one of his rear legs shorter than the other, chasing a fox in the alley. Both foxes eventually decide to go elsewhere.

I've been with Philadelphia American since I turned 65 in 2018. Information is for a male, non smoker in Texas. No complaints at all with the company and is not an endorsement. Just supplying my monthly rate history to use as a comparison tool for others. The increase on 07-01-26 is substantial.

07-01-18 -- $113.82 per month -- 65 years old

07-01-19 -- $113.82 per month -- 66 years old

07-01-20 -- $113.82 per month -- 67 years old

07-01-21 -- $122.93 per month -- 68 years old

07-01-22 -- $127.06 per month -- 69 years old

07-01-23 -- $141.72 per month -- 70 years old

07-01-24 -- $157.98 per month -- 71 years old

07-01-25 -- $176.91 per month -- 72 years old

07-01-26 -- $211.55 per month -- will be 73 years old

I could have and still could use a Medicare Advantage plan from the company I retired from. But I don't care how "free" the plan is.
