Cleaning pressed fiber interior panels?

Hi all I have a 2003 international extended cab that has these dirty seems like pressed fibers, I have attempted to locate new ones but they are almost as much as I paid for the truck (3k per panel, 3 panels, pretty sure it was the go away price)

Its a fine dust that is embedded in everything on this truck, I vacuumed them but it didnt do that much.

Im afraid to soak them down or do anything more seriois until I get better instructions

Anyone have any experience with this material? Is it fabric over plastic or like hot pressed felt?

Panels are completely out and im up for most any thing.

Help me decide on my roof racks length

So working on my irl scout and trying to decide on the roof rack length.

What say yall? 1,2,3 or 4 for the length.

Will do stake pockets and a basket on it along with light mounts.

They walk among us

Move 6 inches to the left and you can reach back there just fine. Wouldnt have even minded a small hole drilled in it but nooooooo we have to act like we're cutting in a light box at D.R. Horton.

This isnt even the flimsy cardboard stuff its like 1/8th inch plastic and they used a Phillips screwdriver to butcher in the hole.

What makes it all worse is you would have had to have the back bench out to even make this hole so you would have noticed you can just reach back there...

So much dust

4 pic

Im definitely feeling better about pulling the dash, way to much dust in behind it and in the vent tubes. Have no clue where it all came from but I hope they had good insurance because someone definitely had medical issues from this much. It was a inch deep in the corners, ac and heater core both plugged.

Rust encapsulator platinum and dynatron 550 for seams. What to use for removable panels?

So my cab has multiple "removable" panels, for the steering/pedals, shifter, ebrake (which they had all jacked up) and doghouse. They are all being removed so I can clean, scuff and paint it with the platinum. At the same time I plan on digging out a bunch of cracked seam sealer and replacing it with the dynatron 550 over top of the encapsultaor.

So what should be used to seal theses panels down to the platinum?

I dont need to topcoat the platinum correct?

Will be laying down crapazon siless max and 3 in 1 on top of it with a final covering of one lonseals marine flooring, just not quite sure on which one yet waiting one samples.

Any tips or tricks I am welcome to hear

Shell big rigs show in Bristol tn

Pretty cool thing to see. Drove from Fl to TN to to see the scania, waited from 8am opening till 1130ish to see the inside of the scania and he never showed up to open it up. Went to lunch and came back and the scania was gone. First day of the show and it made me kinda butthurt, Why even come to a truck show if your not going to show your truck? It takes a decent amount of effort to convince the wife to take pto so I can drive 9 hours to go look at a truck, that ends up bailing on the show.

Got to see lots of cool trucks but really wanted to check out the scania before it had to go back.

Gold hauler?

I have seen alot of odd trucks but never a armored stretched workstar, with what looks like 150 gal tanks under each side? Steer axle has to be more then 20k rated, beefier then a terex front mixers driven one.

Has anyone done a mast from a gooseneck ball?

So I was checking out the setup that was posted here with the drive over mast base and it got me wondering about a gooseneck flagpole holder and maybe 30 feet of mast? Its a 12ft winch deck so a giant ground plane. Should I also have a drive in ground rod?

Was thinking a goose neck flag mount with a pivot to lay it flat on the deck for assembly and then just use one of my winches to pull it up.

Considered a mount on the gin pole apex and just stand it straight up but thats 15 foot above the bed and only 10 above the headache rack.

Have 2 outriggers that are made from heavy trailer jacks that slide into receiver hitch mounts so no worries along with 4 foot dirt screws for hurricane duty winds.

For normal day to day I have 2 mounts on the headache rack, one normal and one power folding for a longer antenna, was considering putting my kracken disk (kracken antennas on a wood disc with sliders for the antenna spacing) on a roof rack over the extended cab, maybe in a Thule box.

Have a ftx1 optima that will be semi mounted in the truck.

Which leads me to another question, battery isolation.

Currently have 3 group 31 batteries but adding 3 more on other side, planning on isolation of the 3 batteries used for my radios and computer, do I run a single run into a breaker box or do I run each power supply separately for the cb, ham, and laptop/kracken? Should I step down from 24v to feed everything or from the full 36v?

Currently redoing all the wiring on the truck to run through a single ground rf shield sheathing to try to keep the winches from talking to the radios and the radios from talking to the multiplexed wiring backbone.

Suggestions, thoughts etc?

Yes I drive it around regularly, its only 2 foot longer then a long bed quad cab dodge, gets 16mpg, is pre emissions and only cost 10k, oh and full coverage insurance is 75 bucks a month. I could have gotten a new denali for 100k+ or stick a quarter of that in this and have something cool that I can fix and not cry when it gets scratched.

Well its back to stock, so many wires replaced.

So so much spliced in crap. None of it fused including the 00 that you see off to the side, it was still direct to battery and they just had the 2 ends poking through bolt holes in the frame, zero tape or anything over the bare ends.....

Probably have 40 hours in her but used a junkyard harness to have all the circuits numbered correctly and factory like.

Now to find a 8600 dash and dash harness to add the factory goodies like pw pdl pw mirrors.

Anyone know of a stash of gen1 rpms? All the local yards are stripped clean of them.

Any of my northern people care to lend me the last 8 off a extended cab truck with the insulation package? Or have the part numbers for the insulation.

Starting to think my yard needs added to the next update

Fed ex just sank it also.

Right after I told him to be careful lol. Guess Im blocking off that arm of the driveway.

He was as confused as I was, been through here everyday for years and now this. Same exact thing he stopped to back up and boom the front sank

What's worse is you can see my tire tracks right across that so it held truck weight a hour ago.

Threw in what Gravel i had and compacted by running smaller truck back and forth until it felt stable enough to try the big truck then big truck back and forth. You cant even tell i dumped 2 wheelbarrow of gravel there 2 days ago.

Guess im renting a skidder instead of making bedsides. This is gonna cost a couple kidneys

I literally got snowrunnerd in my own driveway. Stuck it in sight of the finish.

Well that was fun.

Happened just like in the game, was almsot to the drop off point and spent the next 4 hours trying to go the last 10 feet.

Went to go get wifes bicycle serviced, came back went to back into my spot and front tire slid to the right and sank. She digs in quick once the turbo spooled lol when it took me just a moment too long to process what was happening. Lost a inside dual off the rim because snowrunner damage from the sand lmao.

Stupid rain has apparently washed my gravel away and now its nothing but sugar sand.

245s are not the correct choice but did have locker engaged.

And yes I use this big beast as a normal pickup truck. Under cdl, Paid 8k, full coverage insurance is 72 month, 16 mpg with the 220hp tune from power hungry, my front wheels can turn 55 degrees so I can steer like a mini cooper and turn inside most cars. 1 foot longer then a quad cab longbed

2003 4300lp dt466e non egr, 3 plug body controller. Tldr at bottom.

So im starting to think that a whole rewire may be in my future since someone can't figure out how to do wiring without failing at it.

Been fighting many issues that I thought were a failing bcm but are mostly absolutely crap wiring repairs that are failing now that the truck is near the ocean.

Unfortunately one of you craptastic individuals (fleet truck so no excuses) has decided that everything should have a 40 amp fuse or be wired directly to the battery with 16 ga wire thats got 4 crimps in it because you couldn't find a long enough piece. I hope you drop your new snap on ratchet in the belly of a leaky dozer and while you watch it sink into the muck a raccoon from the taco bell dumpster blows ass all in your toolbox. Oh and take your fleet credit cards out of the visor before auction, maybe your name and dot/mc numbers also.

And yes those are multiple melted wires, because the cigar plug definitely needed a 40 amp just like the trailer plug.

So im channeling all this anger to a full harness swap it the only way I will know there's not some buried non fused jank that will burn it to the ground.

So back to the question

I know the Gen 2 5 plug bcms now get replaced with the Gen 4 7 plug controllers, was there a path for the 1st Gen 3 plug ones that plugged in from outside the cab?

Strongly considering using a later cab harness to use the Gen 4 controller since it should still talk to my 250k bus engine controller right?

Might as well just do a whole prostar dash swap and add all the cool toys.

I have the special dlb to do logic and such

Tldr:

any upgrade path from the Gen 1 bcm like the Gen 2 gets swapped with 4?

If not then any reason why a gen4 cab, dash, and midpoint harness wouldn't be my choice?

Beat anyone you see wiring anything to the battery with no fuse..

Want a spare? Im stripping it all out of the truck if anyone wants it before it goes in the dumpster. It works but I have never even seen one of these trailers in person so out it goes. Free. Close to the Alabama Florida line
